Edinburgh Castle
The castle’s most recent ghost story occurred in 2003. Members of a construction crew doing restoration work complained of being harassed by ghosts. These ghosts were believed to be the ghosts of prisoners kept at the castle during the Napoleonic wars. Photos of the workers show strange blue orbs floating above the worker's heads.

probably a story planted by VisitScotland, a national tourism organization. been there, saw nothing, but had a ball scaring little nieces and nephews.

The photo shown in that ^ link is not the photo you requested, but I came across it and wanted to share.
It shows what could be a blue orb in the middle of the photo.
The photo description says it was taken "2 years ago" and since the photo was posted in 2005, that means the photo was taken in 2003. So similar time to the construction crew orbs.

I worked close to the castle in 2003, and never heard anything about this.
