Another cracker....

photo-02.jpg

'Scientists examining amber fossils discovered 100-million-year-old insects preserved with the damaged dinosaur feathers on which they lived'

That is some statement of fact!

'The bugs provide paleontologists’ first glimpse of ancient lice-like parasites that once thrived on larger animals’ feathers and possibly hair'

“The preservation in amber is extremely good, so good it’s almost like live insects,” says Chungkun Shih, a paleoentomologist and co-author of a study detailing the new find in Nature Communications'

'While dinosaurs may garner an outsized share of attention, the tiny prehistoric pests and parasites that lived on them are a particular specialty of Shih and colleagues at Capital Normal University (CNU) in Beijing. The scientists are fascinated by insects that spent their lives sucking the blood, or gnawing the skin, hair and feathers of their much larger hosts. Though small in scope, parasitic insects have caused enormous suffering by spreading modern diseases like the plague and typhus'

Have to love this bit.....

'In human history you can see that the flea caused the black plague, and even today we are affected by blood sucking or chewing parasites,” Shih says. Studying the ancestors of living ectoparasites, which live on the outside of their hosts, can help scientists understand how these pests evolved over millions of years into the species that live among and on us today'

More brilliant science, and proofs, eh?

I discovered this video on Youtube: Causes of the Ice Age and Nova, the Greatest Secret of the United States. And apparently evolution as we know it is entirely false. This guy postulates that the sun goes nova every 12,000 years (give or take) and that causes the mass extinctions and genetic "evolution" of new life forms on Earth.

It's an interesting video and this guy's research on the true nature of the universe, our solar system, planet and ice ages is fascinating. I'm interested in other's opinion of the video. Cheers! ?

This statement is a bit ambiguous, a mass extinction every 12.000 years would have quite a significant impact on the diversity of life.

Anyway, I think there is something to this theory. (Can't watch the video at the moment, perhaps later ...).
I would combine that with another theory, that of the cyclical solar movement.
The solar system is not nailed onto a fixed position in the galaxy, but circles around the galaxy center with about 250 million years per cycle. But this trajectory is not circle, but a spiral path, oscillating around the galaxy plane. Just like the moon circles around the earth as the earch itself orbits the sun.
This spiral motion has a periodicity of about 25.000 years (which gives about 12.000 years between the peak minimum an maximum).
And on it's path, the solar system passes region with higher or lower matter/energy density, and, through the galaxy plane commutation, a reversal of forces excerted by the galactic center. Like seen in this video: Such periodicities could very well explain periodical extinction events, even down to "climate change".

I think it's not correct. You need at least 40 zeros to sound scientific (LOL), millions of billions of trillions... and so on and it's right.
Great thread!

Take it with a grain of salt, but there have been mentions of a half - cycle close to 12k years in ancient Hindu texts too.(the Yuga cycle).
It especially mentions of an elliptical motion of our sun to another star in our system(behind Sirius maybe?), which revolves around the centre of our Galaxy, which takes around almost 25k years to complete one revolution..catastrophes and ages move in an elliptical path when it is closest and farthest points from the other star in our system.. nearing the other star and also the centre of our Galaxy, denotes the movement of human beings from Golden ages to dark ages and from dark ages to Golden ages, maybe because of the radiation of the other star which affects the human DNA or mind.. in both positive and negative aspects..
The video explains it in a much better way than what I have written above..

Here is a YouTube video which explains the motion and also the different yugas as explained by yukteshwar Maharaj who came to that hypothesis in 19th century..
Some old Vedic texts also mention of a transition period between one age to another, and in this cycle it is believed that dark ages ended around 1700AD, 100-150 year transition period which causes great problems all over the world may also lineup with the fudging of history and little ice age during 17th-18th century..

I have read a lot of information which co-incides with this cycle and will make a thread after compiling all the information together.. this forum is very interesting, lots of great ideas and theories being discussed have kind of opened my eyes..
