It is about a military officer guarding the Bam Citadel in Iran from invading Tartars.
It is filmed at the UNESCO Heritage Site Arg-E Bam Citadel in Iran. Once the largest adobe structure in the world before a 2003 earthquake. The ancient parts of the citadel survived where the newer structures were more likely to be destroyed.
There is a wishing well and dungeon inside but I couldn't find any pictures.
