Before we get started, this is not a flat earth/ globe earth debate. Just a simple observation.

Not wanting to derail this post Moon Plasma

But from the pdf linked I could not help but notice this...

Inside - Apollo FUV Imaging of the Earth, 48

Mmm I thought, Uv of the earth., in 1965, using a black and white film? So I searched around and discovered these colourised images. Which are basically drawings, not photos.

Original image. Also. What are these dots suposed to be? Stars? Asteroids?

The S201-experiment 10-min exposure photograph in false colours to enhance differences in the brightness of the oxygen glow at different layers of atmosphere. For this photograph hydrogen emission was blocked so that only oxygen and nitrogen emissions were recorded. Oxygen atoms fluoresce under the solar UV radiation, and maximum concentration is shown in golden closest to the Earth’s surface. As it reduces with altitude, the colours become green and finally blue. On the Earth’s night side the gas shows blue in two intersect- ing arcs over the equator—the so-called equatorial FUV arcs (Hicks and Chubb 1970). In the South the polar aurora is seen. The photo- graphic number of the original black&white UV camera photograph is AS16-123-19657. Source: NASA

It appears there is nothing much to see at first glance, but if you rotate the image right, we get this...

Which instantly made me think of this.

Now, I don't beleive in a space program per se, we would have a genuine full image of the earth if it were possible, I am also Aethiest. I have no agenda other than the truth. But this seems a little to obvious to me, or am I joining dots which don't exist?

My guess here is just more in your face, we know the real condition of the realm in which we exist.

Thoughts?

It's odd, this fits in with a thought I've been having about the moon. What if it is above us and we are looking at the round underside if it had a flat top. Would the craters then represent places where we tried to shoot the moon out of the sky in the distant past?

Additionally, what if the globe earth theory started due to a misinterpretation of old round maps that were never attempting to show a ball to begin with. Having obtained info without proper context, they ran with the ball idea. Then backed it up as a convenient lie later.

Just a thought, but this photo is interesting.

The only worrying thing is it being listed as an apollo shot. Nice to see anything that slips thru the narrative cracks tho. Thanks.

The black and white photo looks like what would happen if one poked holes in a cardboard box then stuck a camera in it, took a photo, then passed it off as outer space.

My joking aside, I'm on board with the domed earth. Exactly what the shape of our earth is, beyond that it is 100% not a sphere the size that TPTB say it is, I'm unsure. I lean toward flat, given the many tests showing no curvature, and Scripture seeming to best be interpreted from such a perspective.

I recall a certain pope, one of those Gregorys - the one responsible for the Gregorian calendar - that has a globe on his tomb in the Vatican. Could be that specific Pope Gregory, and his cabinet, are responsible for not only giving us a funky timeline but also the globe model.
