OK, good conversations, and that make's me happy - I posted three quick topics because for about a week or so the stolenhistory site seemed to be a tad bit stagnant, and some fresh blood needed to be spilled into the waters of knowledge. That's just my opinion - your mileage may vary.
Here's the reason why I was investigating the properties of UV light to begin with.
There are three or more types (actually four but we need not get into that) of ultraviolet radiation.
None are visible to human eyes, except in some rare occasions dealing with lids and lenses of certain people's eyes. A rare group to be sure.
UV A is sunlight. Lot's of that.
UV B is nearly 100% filtered out by our atmosphere. Nearly.
UV C is also nearly filtered out.
But B and C are used by scientists in their experiments to identify certain chemicals and reactions and materials, so they are created here on Earth and used cautiously. Only in modern times.
B and C will cause DNA damage under certain conditions, and they effect RNA as well.
There are twelve (or possibly thirteen) gemstones that change color (drastically) but only when hit with UVB range of rays (near 280s nn wavelength). Sunlight won't do it, neither will any other light that we haven't manufactured in the last 50 years or so. I mention possibly more than 12 because some are actually stones of the same family and probably should count as one.
These changes go from red to light blue, or from green to dark red, for example. Sometimes from yellow to black, etc. Changes strong enough to notice, for sure.
Significant changes. These are sometimes used by gemologists to judge the value of gemstones.
So, significantly change, but only when hit with a human created UVB or UVC frequency, which
has only been known for about 150 years supposedly.
When Aaron of Biblical fame had a question of Yahweh - he stood in front of the Ark of the Covenant, (which I have confirmed by direct translation as being a communication device among other things) with his yes or no questions, and this was called the Urim and Thummim part of his breastplate. The stones gave him the answer - they glowed.
And in conclusion - the minerals that we know to Fluoresce in UV Light, and especially in the longwave Uv or UVB, are, as you have probably guessed by the way this is going, the same twelve stones found on his breastplate, and btw also mentioned as being in the New Jerusalem that will land, according to Revelations. No more, and no less. Same.
Now, some of them are one color at UVB radiations, and another color at UVC radiation wavelengths. That would provide you with your yes-no answers. For example one red stone turns green at UVB and it turns light pink at UVC. Always.
This begs two questions.
How did they know this in Biblical times?
How did they produce these rays in Biblical times?
So actually my topic here was simply a way to think out loud while I finished the twelve stones research. I'm not quite done actually - I'm putting together the associations of which lines of color correspond to each of the responses, but I anticipate finishing that today.
BTW - speaking of stolenhistory - there is no one clear account, in any of the commentaries by either the Hebrews or Christians regarding which stone was where or even which tribe they represented. It's taking some work to piece that part together. But sufficient disinformation or just plain acts of stupidity abound that this topic is way confusing to us today. Is there a reason for that? As in, someone does not wish us to know that by placing certain stones in your window, you can be informed ahead of time when something emitting UVB or UVC approaches - such as perhaps the UFOs that use these frequencies to communicate, and are thus mistaken for being able to project thoughts or read thoughts in humans? Inhabitants of other planets, which have red or brown dwarf stars, would have less visible light, rely more on ultraviolet light and perhaps even need larger sized eyes to see. Just saying.
