The pagan greeks and romans have a certain design to their buildings especially with their pagan temples. It has been duplicated constantly. Even the US white house has it. In Japanese Shinto religion torii are gates that allow spirits and their gods to pass through. Fairy doors are a fad where people put a tiny door in their tree or garden in hopes they will bring increased fertility.
Are these related to the pagan temples from Greece and Rome?
If these are passages for gods and spirits is the function the same in greek and roman architecture?
What happens when you go in a building of that style?
What about the rounded doorways?
Do you have to believe in something to make it true?

This is an interesting topic Tapioca. I love the pics. I wonder about this notion of portals and gates. Seems super common cross culturally. For me, I believe we're in a VR, and I sort of think that these things are real but their actual purpose is entering or exiting the simulation, as well as basically shortcuts within the system. Sort of like digital wormhole or something.

Do you think we are stuck inside the simulation? I wonder about the broken column in freemasonry. That column would have been part of the portal but it is broken now.

Star Trek, very early, depicted portals. And people I know around here are 100% convinced they exist.

I would like to state, as a trained "scientist," that I've never been through one; however, every time I enter a (new) thought/action dimension, I change and experience something vastly different. For example, when I go from reading SH to outdoor chores, the "dimensions" of my experience changes. Portals are, thus, everywhere; and I traverse them with my mind and body. Time changes, new muscles are worked, different calculations are required, etc. I'd like to write it is "easy peasy lemon squeezy." It is easier if one has a partner. But there are always dangers. For this reason, I suppose it is easier to follow the programming of the old AI and it 10,000,000+ commandments. Portals become routinized, danger is reduced, but at the cost of freedom of thought and action.

At the very least, portal shrines remind one that people-- not only gnomes, etc., traverse time and space regularly. Moreover, they remind us that mystery is always possible and is, in fact, a factoid of every decision. A contradiction? I'd like to think so. But it seems more logical to conclude that the only fact of freedom is mystery and its uncertainties.

gnomes, etc.
I witnessed a little humanoid disappear as it ran away as I quickly shined my flashlight at it. I was so close to seeing its face but it turned around that quickly even though I grabbed my flashlight and shined it on him as fast I humanly could. I noted it had a strange, large wavy hat or hair. Anyway, portals are not needed for some entities to pass between dimensions, unless my bedroom had a portal. Whether or not a human would need one or want one is up in the air.

With every year I m here, I ve been teached something I never would think about- so: Why is earth how it is? And the whole wourld? Could it be, like I more and more tend to believe or better, to know, that we are indeed the CREATOR of everything???
If we are the "something", that decides between "wave" or "material" (QUANTENPHYSIKS), we are responsible, that makes me thing about consequencies of fullfilling prophecies, of wishes I have....
It makes sence, if we really think we need portals, we will create them- despite of "time"- we will find them "in time".
Because there is only in our believe the idea of time, of "to late", of "I missed that event and that important meeting"....NO; NEVER ! If its good for you, if its the "right moment"- things will happen to you, you will get your chance to make the right decicion!
There is a lot of puzzle-pieces around portals... the war in Afghanistan, a very short time after something was discovered and in parts published----boom, closed, NOTHING TO SEE,....
A lot of pictures ( but I m now sceptical about "fotos"), and more importent, the lot of oral history in old legends...

There are "false" doors in many cultures, and some you can go in, in this dimension and some you cannot for the moment in this dimension. There are many in Egyptian culture and in South America, but yes, I believe they are all portals, it just depends on if you can figure out how to use them, or if they want to be used. Be well!

One of the few Star Trek episodes I've ever watched was The City on the Edge of Forever which depicts a portal that can go anywhere in space or time surrounded by the ruins of what appears to be a Greek-style temple.

I just remembered the "false" door that was in the Lord of the Rings that needed special key and the special light of the day at a certain time to be opened. Then I remembered the doors to different dimensions in the long hallway in the movie Beetlejuice, when Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis come back from meeting with their case worker in the afterlife. Each door led to a different place, even different planets.

Perhaps the door is the door in the heart, which opens with the key of love.
