This gives good information. Gets into the occult symbolism of the 8 point rosette. You have to scroll a bit, but I found it all interesting since my middle name is rose.Note: This post was recovered from the Sh.org archive.Username: MustardSeedDate: 2019-10-28 19:16:53Reaction Score: 1

I'm joining this conversation late but in case you've not come across the Shell Grotto in Margate - I was fascinated to see this in there.Updated the first post with a few additional images. These flower designs are on multiple 19th century buildings. I still have doubts that they are for decoration only. Kind of bumping the thread, in case somebody figures out what they mean, or runs into some info.
Cosmic wheel (video) is very similar in appearance, but not quite.
The flower has 8 points but it's not a star. The flower looks similar to this Star of Inanna, but only in this picture. The other Inanna's stars look more like stars.

This caught my eye a while ago on Paul's book cover. From the thread here:
The Staff of Saint Bernardine of Siena
The priests have the same type of design on the hats and gloves!

Yes, it's the same as the clock-like representation on their "watches". I believe that deep-down it is their way to sneer at their cattle (us) by hiding in plain site the fact that most of the powers that be worship the Sun as the one and only god, and that they were able to BS the rest of us with the elaborate story that we have been feed since children. Either Mesopotamian (Freemasons) or Egyptian (Catholic) version leads to the same conclusion.
Additionally, if you take a short stick version of the Cross (+) and then strike it out with an x (X) you arrive at the same combined symbol, one that is featured on the UN pages, some major companies, and anywhere that they have decided to flaunt their control/power over the rest of us. Children were bought/sold as slaves, taken for sacrifices, and made into child "brides" of both sexes in those times, and we see the same thing today with the paedophilic rich and filthy.

Uwe Topper wrote about the cross shape as something more related to nature and is more ancient than the Christian thing.Note: This post was recovered from the Sh.org archive.Username: twigpinDate: 2019-12-22 09:39:06Reaction Score: 1

the rosette with the eight petals and the little round thing sticking out ... possibly ... YIN YANG ... NAVAGRAHA ... OGDOAD ... these are just my opinion ... The arising of the Sun or creation from the combination of the four fundamental elements and their opposites ... if it was an ancient symbol then I rest easy and find comfort in the thought that "the knowledge of the ancients [ recent past / Antiquity / Pre MUD Flood Civilization etc., ] contains at its base the Goddess" ... GAYATRI ... now while the YIN YANG / NAVAGRAHA / OGDOAD are explainable and entire sacred material has been drawn up around them ... the Goddess remains the mystery ... i just have some thoughts which are mine and simply opinions ... history was stolen but knowledge is still there ... we will survive and progress ... I am not speaking in riddles ... no time for that ... East and West have always blown the same smoke ... only looked different ... please do not confuse the Goddess for the Mantra ... inklings of her works can be found in GI Gurdjieffs' story of creation [ page 687 of 1135 in the PDF ] ... GAYATRI arose from Vishnu / TIME ... we are not sure if she arose before Shiva or after Shiva ... GAYATRI Mantra says ... In the begining there was the Infinite or Origin; then arose TIME / Unstable, then arose NATURE / Octave / Stable and then arose the Stars etc., ... sequence of events ... no zapping / magics etc., ... Master Morihei Ueshiba of Aikido "in the beginning there was nothing then there was breath [ TIME ] and then nature" ...Posting a couple of pictures of the same interior with approximately 90 years in between the photos. Up on the ceiling curve we have this flower ornament inside the circle, with circle inside the octagon. Anybody knows what the meaning of this flower design is? My googling got me as far as figuring out that it could be some sort of Rosette. It says on the webpage, that this design might have some ancient origins.
Circles and Octagons were a bit easier: Symbolic meaning of octagon and The Octagon in Leonardo’s Drawings.
Makes you wonder why these are used inside a supposedly 1913 Train Station.
The octagon is found in baptisteries as a symbol representing eternal life, likely because the number eight is symbolic of renewal. The circle is symbolic of the heavens (also eternity/infinity) and the angularity of the square is symbolic of earthly presence.
Occasionally, the octagon was viewed as a symbol for infinity. It was suggested that the octagon is a circle attempting to become a square, and a square attempting to become a circle.

It is the symbol of Nestorian Christians from the Church of the East, originally from Syriac Christians, and spread forth to Tartary and China in the 7th century, hundreds of years before the wily and cunning Jesuits came through.Note: This post was recovered from the Sh.org archive.Username: jesuitDate: 2020-08-08 00:09:42Reaction Score: 2
