I was unable to find a better image of the above postcard. There is obviously something lacking in my education. What Queen are they talking about here?

Beautiful condition on this card which was not mailed. It shows the "Queen and her Maids of the Confederate Veterans Reunion". The helpful identification reads:

• The Queen has on the big white hat & rides facing horses. Mattie Chappel is beside her & Jennie Riley is just in front of her, laughing.​

Lucy Petway Holcombe Pickens
(June 11, 1832 – August 8, 1899) was a 19th-century Americansocialite of Tennessee and Texas, known during and after her lifetime as the "Queen of the Confederacy". Described as "beautiful, brilliant, and captivating" by her male contemporaries, she helped shape the stereotype of the "Southern belle." Born into a planter's family, she moved with them to Marshall, Texas, the seat of Harrison County, at age 16.She married Colonel Francis Wilkinson Pickens of South Carolina in 1858, after he was nominated as United States ambassador to Russia. They returned to the United States in 1860 and he was elected as governor of the state several days before the legislature voted to secede from the Union. According to the 1860 census, he owned $45,400 in real estate (the equivalent of approximately $1,247,000 today) and $244,206 in personal property (about $6,768,000 today). He (and by extension his wife) also owned 276 slaves.

I believe it means the Queen of the reunion.

This one is from Arkansas but the description of the Queen is as follows:
UCV Reunion Queen Kathleen Barkman and her maids of honor were borne along the route by four gray horses. The queen and her maids had helped play host at a variety of functions throughout the three-day reunion, including the closing evening's grand ball, at which they danced with many of the old soldiers.

Photographic print: sepia photo of four ladies lounging in Oriental clothing. Queen and Court of Comus Ball of 1892. Seated left to right: Miss Emma Sinnott, and Gquee, Miss Winnie Davis (Jefferson Davis's daughter), Daughter of the Confederacy; Standing left to right: Miss Nettie Miller and Miss Josephine Maginnis. All dressed in costumes de ball - kimono style blouses with attached overskirts and dark underskirts and obis.

In 1857, Comus appeared. Six men formed a secret group and invited thirteen others to join. The official name was The Mistick Krewe of Comus. An oath was taken by each member owing to identity secrecy. Costumes were obtained from a Mobile theatre and names were secretly selected for invitations.
