The Old Testament of Natural Phenomena

Much of history is made from the still standing monuments and those parchments uncovered by man, which man created. The Sacred Texts establish Mythologies of old, while Religion continues to defy them...and to deify the same Gods over and over. English replaces the Dravidian... the Sanskrit, the Hebrew, the Aramean...and the translators are at liberty to admonish whatever idea and word they wish to accompany their labors. "Literal Translations" are all the rage in defining the Sacred Texts, especially the Bible, even though the writings of Plato and Pliny, and numerous other Greek authors, never took the Mythology literally. Even Socrates (most likely a creation of Plato, taken, once again, literally as someone who existed) falls to his disbelief in the Gods. How dare he! I believe Plato was trying to tell us something about the power of Religion and in general, taking the myths literally. That same Religion would go on to burn "witches", remove the spiritual traditions of old, and start enumerable wars and conflicts.

3 little pigs.jpg

Even as a child, my thoughts of talking snakes, talking burning bushes, Adam and Eve, men swallowed by whales...were akin to my stories of little pigs, big bad wolves, and that Little Engine that Could. Aesop would be proud.

I present, as best I can, that which, of course, like everything, was not initiated by myself...but of many authors who came before. It is difficult to have an original thought. For all thoughts have, most likely, been already thought of. I do not take credit for any of this information. This information has been published in the past, and im just re-presenting it.

Apis_Bull_Statue_(photo_by_Carolyn_Whitson).png
Apis

I start with the worship of the Bull. That Sacred male Cow. Veneration unseen, until I met an actual Spinster with her 50 plus cats. And the enumerous damage done to the dwelling from such veneration. This Sacred Bull passes away like the sands of time. But why? Why does this practice not continue to exist in its fanatical capacity of old. From Mesopotamia to Egypt, Persia to Greece...the story of the Bull continued for centuries. Until Moses belittles his flocks for their Golden Calf, and Mithras slays the subject of this paragraph. The Apis will have a sun disk carved upon its head, enjoyed by the Egyptians...the sun disk of Hathor. She will mother the sun god Ra, and the sky god Horus, with the head of a falcon, a beast which can fly through the heavens (the sky). How creative.

The pantheon of gods represent the Constellations or Man's symbolism of Natural Phenomena. Early Man saw the Sun rise and set. He saw the stars. He named them and grouped them together. Because of the directness of language, creativity, and symbolism, Man would give Human Feeling and Form to the Spiritual, to the Natural. Unlike today, Man could not seperate himself from the Earth (Nature). He knew he was Nature and apart of Nature. The Natural would become Gods with their male and female attributes. Their gods would be like them. Spirit would be found in the Air, the Water, the Fire, and the Earth. Their planting, harvesting, and festivals would all be based on the Gods of Natural Phenomena. Sometimes procreation would be limited to certain times of the year. They looked to the "heavens", the position of the Sun, and acted accordingly. They warmed in the Summer and froze in the Winter. Their bellies full and spirits bright with the Sun on most High, and fear sets in when the Sun drops to the Horizon. The Summer was good, the Winter was bad. And deities would come. They would give the spirits names and characteristics that could easily be understood by all the Men of many Nations. Their Gods compelled them, Lorded over them, and they would have it no other way.

ecliptic.jpg
The Ecliptic
The Ecliptic is the path of the Sun over a year's time. It can be viewed by all, at any corner of the Earth. From the Ecliptic Man would notice certain characteristics of its movement; its position. The most common symbol for this would be the Serpent eating its tail, called the Ouroborus. Man will symbolize much of this Ecliptic. From this we get the Equinoxes and the Solstices.

ouroborus.jpg

Equinox

An Equinox is when daytime and night time are of approximate equal duration. This occurs twice in the Year. We have the Spring Equinox at roughly the 20th of March and the Fall Equinox at roughly the 23rd of September. These will be symbolized by Man. After the Spring Equinox, the Sun continues to rise in the sky in relation to the Horizon, and will continue to do so until the Summer Solstice. From winter solstice, the sun rises till the summer solstice (6 months) and then starts to decline or descend until the winter solstice. Completing the year.

equinox solstice.jpg

Solstice
The Solstices are when the Sun, in relation to the Horizon, appears Highest in the sky at the Summer, roughly June 21st, and its lowest declination, the Winter at December 21st. These will be heavily symbolized by Man, especially the Winter Solstice.
At the Winter Solstice the Sun does not accend nor descend by any degree for three days. The Sun is said to "die" on the 21st and is "resurrected" on the 25th.

The Ecliptic passes through 12 Constellations. Man will symbolize these constellations with forms he is familiar with, using those images closely resembling the collection of the stars of that Constellation. These 12 Constellations would become the Zodiac. This would create a basic "calendar". This calendar had many ways of forming, some peoples using the Moon, and others using more than 12 constellations. At some point 12 becomes Universal for the Signs and then as the Months, and its use will foretell the seasons, celebrations, schedules, and rituals.

Because every Man sees the stars it is easier to converse with many tribes and nations just using the Constellations. The Signs would become , in a sense, Universal Language, from an already Proto Dravidian Universal Language of the Aryans. But the Aryans, like the Native Americans, would spread out over the Land to seek better climate, and more food, and probably better opportunities for farming, animal husbandry, hunting, and survival. Their tribes may have become enlarged as well forcing movement for the sake of space. They took with them their metaphoric heroes, their tales, their stories...expressing the movement of the Sun through the Stars. They will build monuments of Virgins with the bodies of lions, and Men with the bodies of horses. They will emulate on the Earth what they created in the sky.

precession 1.jpg

The Precession of the Equinox
Now that the signs are in place, their is one more phenomena that occurs. Every, roughly, 2100 years, the venerated Spring Equinox (obviously denoting the end of Winter, when the land reproduces and provides plenty of warmth and food) will change Signs. All the Zodiac and Constellations "shift". The Sun is constantly moving along its ecliptic, while the Earth is moving along its path around the Sun. The Spring Equinox will begin in a specific sign for roughly two thousand years until the Sun starts its equinox in a different sign, a different constellation. I cannot stress enough the Veneration of the Spring Equinox. For many, Winter was rough. Fasting would occur when food supplies ran low (Lent). Winter was hated. It was dark. It was cold. It was Evil. All Man celebrated the Spring Equinox. It marked the beginning of the year. The Winter Solstice was despised. But the resurrection of the Sun from the "savior" brought hope.

For 2000 years the Spring Equinox occured in the sign of Taurus, the Bull. The Sun enters Taurus marking the beginning of the year and the celebrations for the forthcoming Summer. For most Man, the year had two seasons... hot and cold, summer and winter, good and evil. In some cases they would divide the year into 3. Including the Spring along with the other 2. Nowadays we have 4, dividing the year. Starting at approximately 2100 BC, the Precession moves from Taurus to Aries, the Ram...the sheep, the lamb. The Bull is no longer venerated. His cults will eventually die out. As mentioned before Moses will scold.

This is the Story of the Old Testament. It is every story. Using the Spirits and the Signs, the Word of God will tell the same story as Gilgamesh, the Vedas, the Eddas, the Hieroglyphs, the Zend-Avesta, the Enuma-Elish. It matters not who tells it, or from what sacred text it comes from. It is the same collective story. It is the story of the interaction of the Earth, the Sun, the Constellations, and the Seasons. It's secrets would be swept inside a fallen and dead language-that of Hebrew. It's illiteration from right to left, with consonant sounds and no vowels and no breaks between the symbols of its writing...it would be left to the devices of those who wrote or copied the same stories into Aramaic, Into Greek, Into Latin, into High German, and finally English.

Because of the difficulty of cutting and pasting Hebrew I will use the English equivalent to the best of my ability using Strongs Concordance , the Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon, and the Brown-Driver-Briggs Lexicon. Anyone can use these references to fact check the characters...each having attributes which correlates to a Constellation, a Season, the completion of the year, or the position of the Sun.

Aries-horoscope.jpg

Elohim

In the Hebrew text Elohim stands opposed to God in the English. This is the plural of Eloh which is a compound of (El) and (Jah). Uniting these radicals we get Eljah. The root El, is contracted from the verb Ayil (Ram, mighty, the strenght of a ram) which properly has the sense of rolling or twisting. And was hence applied as a name to the male of the sheep kind, in allusion to his contorted or " twisted horns" {Ges. Heb. Lex.,p. 41). The root (jah), is the short for, literally "he will be," and, being the future (Havah) =to be, denoted existence.

The ancient Egyptians, as did most other nations previous to this beginning of Genesis, when the Sun entered Taurus at the spring equinox, paid divine honors to the BULL, as Baal-peor, or Lord of the opening year. In Hebrew, the Lord of the Year will pass the torch to the Ram.

creation.jpg

In the Beginning...
(each day is a month)
1st day of Creation: March (the first month of Summer) - In the beginning (of the year, the Spring Equinox) God (Elohim, the Sun in Aries) created (bara, to cut or divide) divided Summer from Winter. And the Earth in Winter is dreary and desolate (void without form). And there was Light (from the Sun). And the Spring Equinox Divided light from the darkness (equal length for day and night).

2nd day of Creation: April - the waters are dried off the Earth, after the rains. After the waters have been seperated from the ground to the clouds (the heavens) through evaporation or receeding. Dividing the waters. Allows for planting of crops.

3rd day of Creation: May- God makes the grass grow and brings forth the buds of fruit and of the herbs.

4th day of Creation: June- Summer Solstice-Sun at its highest point on the horizon and the Moon shines its brightest at its Eastern horizon at sunset.

5th day of Creation: July- the birds fly back. They see the whales. The beasts (and Man) of the Earth fornicate and multiply. And thats good. They see the creepeth things in abundance (the insects), this is the month when most of the bugs are out and about.

6th day of Creation: August-The cattle are fat, the fruit is ripe, Man consumes and fattens up and prepares for winter. They enjoy the fruits of their labor and the labor of Nature itself.

7th day of Creation: September, the 7th month, the Sabbath, the day (month) of rest. The sign of Libra, scales, Balance. This will split the Summer of 7 months to the Winter of 5 Months. In some rare occasions, the year is split evenly, 6 months of Summer and 6 months of Winter. The Old Testament will mostly stick to the 7 and 5 arrangement.

In September Aries (Elohim, but only when the Sun is in Aries), we have 2, or more than one subject (object), thus the plural use of the word Elohim, will move opposite of its starting point (see Zodiac, it will be on the opposite side) and become just El (the ram, just by itself without the Sun, singular) in the winter. But still denoted as God in many instances in the old testament. Going by memory, in Hebrew, Elohim is used 33 times in the first chapter of Genesis. It's translation will succumb to that generic word, stripped of a vowel from "good", to create "that which is good", God.
After Libra, the Sun enters Scorpio, the beginning of the five winter months of evil. Scorpio is opposite Taurus in October. In Revelations 9:10, the Scorpion will hurt men for 5 months. Old Scratch will sting with his tail of Scorpio, and will have horns and cloven feet of the Bull. For five months, Satan rules the world.

Summer vs Winter
Good vs Evil
God vs the Devil
who will save us?
Well, Aries, at the next Spring Equinox.

Psalms 22...My Ram, My Ram, why has thou forsaken me?

May the Gospel (God's Spell) be with you !

adam and eve.jpg

In the Garden we go

To the Hindus, their first man and woman is Adima and Heva. Godda love it. Thus Adam and Eve.

Adam, (red clay, red earth) signifies the Earth. At this point, dreary and desolate (like winter). God (Lord God, the summer God, God of the summer months) takes earth out of Winter and introduces him to the Garden, the Summer ( sacred= sunny, the summer months), Eden or Paradise (Aries above the horizon), where all the trees are ripe with fruit and the ground abundant with life. "Dont eat of the knowledge of good and evil", spoke God (the knowledge of summer and winter). Then comes Eve, life, the mother of all living (representing Summer itself). She comes "out" of Adam, the Earth. In a sense, the Spirit of the new life that springs from the Earth in Summer, i.e. the crops, the fruits, the newborn calves. Then here comes the Serpent, "why dont y'all join me in Winter". Because the serpent is Satan, Winter (He represents the Sun in the Winter months...the course of the Sun will be represented by the coiled snake). Adam, the Earth, is cast out of Eden (the summer months). God curses the ground, where in Winter, the ground only has stubs (thorns and thistles). Then God curses the snake to "bite his heel", the Ouroboros, where the snake bites its tail (heel) at the winter solstice. "Thorns and Thistles" is the shrubbery of Winter. This phrase or its independent words will be found abundantly to denote that season of shivers.

From Milton Woolley;
"We can understand why Eve, the vegetation of summer, was the mother of all living, and why taken from the side of Adam, or the earth, by the Lord-God, or the Sun of summer; why the woman (Virgo), standing as she does at the west end of the garden (fall equinox), receives the apple (of the Hesperides, or the West) from the Serpent (approaching winter) and proffers it to her husband, who is in pursuit of her, and why death (winter) follows. We can further understand why the Lord-God was walking in his garden in the cool of the day (September) when he found some of his apples (fruits) were missing. Failing to sufficiently clothe themselves with fig-leaves (which falling just then become the emblem of the Sun retiring south, or of the coming winter,we can readily comprehend why "the Lord-God made coats of skins and clothed them", i.e., the whole animal world, and turned them out of Paradise, the bright summer, into gloomy winter. Yet more, we can comprehend why this Lord-God placed a guard at the east of Eden, the only entrance, while he left the westgate, the autumnal equinox, the only place of exit, unguarded; why the guard was the "cherubim and the flaming sword " = the Bull in conjunction with the Sun, etc."

When Aries sets in the Fall, (the fall of Man, Earth), he becomes a night constellation and can be seen in his house, Beth-El, Bethel, the House of God. The 4 rivers represent the 4 cardinal points. Also known as the "priests". The 4 heads of the Cherubim. No need to look for it. No need to wonder of its existence or its physical manifestation upon the plains. It is all symbology.

cain and abel.jpg

Time for kids
Cain and Abel, also Esau and Jacob, also Ishmael and Isaac (its the same story). Cain is winter. Abel is Summer. The offspring of the Earth, and the life of the Earth (Adam and Eve, Winter and Summer). The two brothers meet at the Spring Equinox where Cain offers his tillage, the thorns and thistles, and Abel offers the first born of his flock, of sheep, (Ram, Aries, the first month of Summer). Abel is given over to Cain (summer must concede to winter) as Job was given over to Satan. Cain slays (sets aside, the proper translation) Abel; the summer and winter constellations trade places. We want to slay Cain, and hurt him. But we cant, he's always around. We cant touch the Bastard.

Poor Eve (Virgo, the Virgin) will become Cain's wife, and his mother. She is the only female in the Zodiac. She becomes everyones daughter, mother, wife, and sister. Luckily the Virgin (Virgo) Mary will have our Lord and Savior, that little sacrificial lamb (Aries), who starts off the new Pressesion of the Spring Equinox beginning in Pisces. Which is why Jesus, nowadays, resides inside a fish on the back of some cars.

Even Jesus speaks of the Zodiac, in Luke 22:10...As you enter Jerusalem (the Spring Equinox) , a man carrying a jar of water will meet you (Aquarius). Follow him to the house (house or sign or month of Aquarius), that he enters.

Forecast calls for rain

Noah ..Signifying Rest, the Earth. The Earth did not move to the ancients, the Sun and the Stars moved around it. He represents the Earth in both Winter and Summer, the wet and dry seasons. Here we get introduced to a 3rd season, Spring. Noah (the Earth), will have three sons (three seasons), Shem (winter) , Ham (summer), and Japheth (spring). The age of the three sons was limited to a 120 years, multiplied by the 3 sons, gives us the 360 degrees of the Circle, the eliptical orbit of the Sun. Completing a full year.

"There were Giants in those days"...Nephilim, i.e. the Fallen Ones. What falls? The reference being had to the southern zodiacal constellations, when "Noah was a just man" i.e., when the Sun was in Libra (Gen. vi,9). These giants were Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricornus, Aquarius and Pisces, then below the equator. They all fall below the horizon by September. The Axis of the Earth is tilted a certain amount of degrees, therefore Signs and Constellations will "rise" above the horizon at certain points of the year, and conversely, "fall" below the horizon at other points.

Noah will bask in the glory of the Lord (summer months). At the Fall Equinox, God and Noah converse about Winter (the Ark). Noah will ride the Ark for 5 months, times 30 days, 150 days of Winter, taking with him food and "2 of each" so that the animal species doesnt die during the winter and they can procreate and "fill the Earth" come Summer again. And the rainy season begins, and lasts for 40 days and for 40 nights, (same in Exodus, just change the years to days) at the end they find the land of Ararat, literally translates to "sunny land". Obviously. Because this is the Only story of the Old Testament. Just told over and over and over again.

Confusion

Moses was a Babylonian. He was "slow of speech and of a slow tongue". You would be too if you were cold. The Earth was of one language and one speech....Winter. The authors, just cant make up their minds how many seasons they want...2 or 3. Well, we get 3 seasons with Noah, and now we are back to 2. In the story of Abraham, the writer starts with 3 and goes back to 2. Winter and Summer. Makes it easier. Those poor Babylonians (people in Winter). How shall they get back to the Lord, the Summer. Maybe a tower. They travel to Shinar, the boy-sun, or the beginning of the year. The fourth of Ham, the 4th month of summer plus 8 months, gives us 12 total, a complete year. And they build a spiraling (think snake) staircase of 8 spirals for this Tower (the Winter hemisphere). The eight spiral refer to the eight climatal circles which the Sun seems to describe about the earth in his return from the winter solstice. The serpent which winds his crooked folds around a pillar images the obliquity of the Sun's ecliptic. The spirals of the tower will mimic the coiling snake.

They are met by the Lord (Aries) in February, and by the next month comes the March Wind (the Holy Ghost) to blow it all down, and they end up in Summer. Good for them. And all the cacophony of all the men and beasts and birds and insects , with all the howls, grunts, and buzzings begins. Myriads of voices were thus confounded, i. e., poured out together, and though scattered over all the earth, all were joyful and full of activity.

abram.jpg

Screwing the Maid
Terah (Latin, terra= Earth) begat Nahor (snorter, winter), Abram (father of elevation, spring), and Haran (heat, summer). Haran begat Lot (the hidden one, winter). As Haran (summer) dies, Lot (winter) is born. Haran had two daugthers Milcah (Virgo in autumn) and Iscah (Virgo in Spring) . Poor Virgo, the only girl for all the men to choose from.

Being called by the Lord (spring), Abram now takes on the personification of the 7 summer months, and takes Lot with him (the 5 winter months) (to complete the year) to the land of Canaan. He goes towards Egypt (winter) where it is enjoying a famine, because food is scarce. He gives his wife to Pharoah (the winter sun) to enjoy....Poor Virgo...she just has to pop up in the summer and the winter; she is always around, being ravished. Then Egypt gets plagues. And again in Exodus. (are you bored yet). Lot and Abram depart, Lot to the winter hemisphere with its 5 cities (months) of winter...Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboim, Bela.

The year, by the dissolution of the partnership between Abram and Lot, was henceforth to be more distinctly defined as consisting of but two seasons— summer and winter. The calendar, of course, must be regulated accordingly. This seems to be the aim of this particular chapter. In order to do this , i.e., to define the exact amount of territory which should fall to each of the two brothers, Abram and Lot (for Haran was dead and Nahor otherwise disposed of), a great battle must be fought. In this battle of the year, we find engaged on the one side, Chedorlaomer (the sheaf-binder = the year which is made up of all its parts) and his three kings (the three seasons of the old year) against the five kings (the intercalary days, days which are inserted into the calendar to make the calendar year correspond to the solar year), on the other side. These last had served Chedorlaomer twelve years (the twelve lunar months), but in the thirteenth they rebelled, i.e., the time passed along well enough until at the end of the thirteen lunar months, or 364 days, a mistake of one day was discovered— hence the rebellion. Chedorlaomer now came on with his three kings against Lot (the winter) and was for the time victorious, carrying Lot and his household into captivity. " But one escaped" (the odd day), came and told Abram the Hebrew (to pass or crossover) , i.e., Abram of the crossing = Sun at spring equinox, of Lot's (winter) defeat and capture.

Abram comes to the rescue, travelling to Dan (Scorpio, winter). Here, having thus recaptured Lot with his household and goods, Abram was met by two kings: the king of Sodom (the winter solstice), and Melchizedek, king of righteousness (the summer solstice). The latter brought forth "bread and wine", gifts which recall to Christians the Lord's supper, but which will enable the free inquirer to identify this "king of peace," who was priest of the "Most High God," i.e., Aries at his zenith, as the summer season of the year. The other, the king of Sodom, was, of course, king of the alternate season, or winter. Thus ends this legend of Abram.

Charleton Heston
Why does this Awesome book not contain the beauty, the awe inspiring Monuments of Egypt? Those Pyramids, Kiosks, Temples, the Grandeur that is the land of the Nile. Well, because there is no Egypt in the Bible, it is a mistranslation (done on purpose in my opinion). The word is Matsor, or besieged. What besieges? or What is besieged? The Earth is besieged, by, well, of course, the besieger...Winter. Egypt was the Greek word. Misra-Stan was the Sanskrit which meant thorny land=Winter. Egypt is Winter. And now our hero must get those poor people out of Winter, away from the Pharoah (the Winter Sun, that ravager of Virgo) and into, you guessed it, Summer. They descend into the proverbial Hell, high German for Hole or Cave. That Metaphoric place where the Sun resides during the winter months.

I could go on and on with the same story. I have included the Creation, Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, the Tower of Babel, a little Abraham, and a little Bob Marley. Everything else that follows, is literally the same story, Summer Vs Winter.

the end.jpg

Conclusion
Since every story is the retelling of the first story, we have different names applied to the Natural Phenomena. The Old Testament is not a history book. Its a book of Astrology. At some point, the Jews, a religious sect that never had its own nation, would be written into the stories of the Old Testament. Why do I say "written in", because this is not a history book. These stories were taken from the Hindus and the Persians and the Mesopotamians. None of these characters or places existed. The 12 tribes stood for the 12 months, the 12 Constellations that the sun travels through every year. The same 12 Constellations, with different names, that the Egyptians used, and the Hindus. That the Greeks would take up. The English renditions of these Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek words, would encompass lands, cities, and sometimes kings (if they existed at all at the time of the writings) into the Bible afterwards...in other words...Jerusalem never existed in the Bible. It only exists afterwards. And then the Name of the City is used in the translations. There is no Jerusalem in Hebrew...Hebrew does not use the letters that I am typing, and that you are reading. It is a completely different set of symbols that makes its own unique language. The symbols of Hebrew represent ideas and concepts. That is why Adam (red earth) is not a proper noun. Noah (rest) is not a proper noun. Immanuel (God is with us). Concepts. They only become proper nouns with the translations and the rewritings of these stories. The Christians, the Jews, and the Mohamedans will take up their traditions after the stories are told, NOT telling these stories from their traditions. They use and borrow their traditions from this ancient story, retold, time and again. Adding their own unique flavor to suit their cultural or religious needs. Circumcision ( to circum , as in circumvent or circumnavigate "to go around") never meant the cutting off of the foreskin...I have made my point. But I digress. These same stories are found in Egyptian, Norse, Persian, Celtic, and Greek Mythology. Why?

Because most men saw the same thing. The sun moving through 12 constellations, and telling stories about this phenomena. We will see it with the Japanese, the Chinese, the Africans, the Mayans....the same story.

And that concludes, for now, the story, the one that has been told since the dawn of Man.

When the sun or constellations fall below the horizon (or get really close), they are swallowed up by the sea, or the sea monster, the whale, or they turn into a pillar of salt, from the salty ocean. They are also said to "go into captivity". The characters represent either the constellations, the seasons, or the Sun at certain points in its ecliptic. They can all, pretty much, fall into the proverbial sea. Depending on what day it is, in what season.

The Covenant is when the Sun comes to the Spring Equinox. Completing the year.
