Interesting news we have not heard of just yet...

The officials warned that the first findings from the scene likely won’t arrive until Tuesday. This left people online to speculate what happened. And the public in large doesn’t seem to buy the meteor theory. Many found it hard to believe that a space stone impact could have been missed for so long.
  • “It had to be huge but no one noticed anything,” one person wrote.
  • “If such a massive meteor would hit the ground, we would hear it. I call bulls***!” another added.
  • Some pointed out that the video from the scene didn’t capture the remnants of the alleged stone.
  • “It rather looks like large a landslide,” a commentator suggested, while others said that the trees nearby were simple cut down by loggers.
  • People even joked that the officials had dreamed up the meteor idea because they were “bored” and “hype is good when you have nothing else to search for.” Others joined the fun, floating X-Files-style ‘explanations.’
  • “A spaceship crashed, the aliens were shot down,” one wrote.
No trees at all! Just complete desert.
"We are trying to find the explanation for this incident. I insist that it was a meteorite. But now they are thinking of a landslide. But this landslide is 700 meters [2,296 feet] long, 400 wide and 80 meters above the ice level," Alexei Maslov said.

“The top was severed from a large hill with rocks crashing down and forming a new 525 ft-high mound in the river bed. The riverbed is blocked by a bulk” up to 2,624 ft wide", said Maslov.

KD: In a way does look like a land slide, but with ground being frozen solid, I’m not sure it’s possible.

If it isn't a hoax to promote the "meteor" meme then it was a large EM discharge.

Checking on a map of Russia the land slide appears to be on the eastern side. The recent test of Russia's new hypersonic missile is supposed to be in the Southern Urals more to the west. The destructive power of this weapon could have caused the land slide by its impact force on the Earth by disrupting the faults in another area. The dates are off by a day.
Putin hails successful test of Russia's new hypersonic missile
A brief video regarding this missiles supposed capabilities is in this video.
Russia is also developing hypersonic planes and gliders, which the USA currently cannot defend against as our radar could not detect them before they are in striking distance.
