Whatever they want to call it then or now, it is not a hoax.I read in the book "The Coming Plague" there was a patient zero that was assumed to be a British gay flight attendant and travelled around the world infecting men with HIV by visiting gay bathhouses. The bodily pain from that sort of sex encourages drug use, including intravenous, which lowers your immune system. The needles were not known to be infectious and were borrowed and reused. The public unacceptance of homosexuals at the time caused these men to avoid help from emerging symptoms. Not knowing they had an infectious wound, they continued to spread HIV. Sharing needles infected the drug using community. And it all carried on from there.

Not to be too picky, but Peter Duesberg wrote a book called Inventing the aids crisis.....the fwd was by Kari Mullis, he invented the PCR test that was incorrectly used for covid testing....he never said it was a hoax. I suggest you read his work....also injecting himself with hiv? I don't remember his name specifically, he was on TV a lot for a while. There is a whole community called the AIDS denialists. When they didn't know what it was yet, it was considered God's wrath on the homosexual community. It was called Gay Related Immune Deficiency, the Gay disease, Gay cancer, Gay plague, etc. A popular drug in the gay community were poppers which was a muscle relaxant sold in sex shops. However, they were poison and slowly killed the user! They are banned today. The symptoms are varied and some considered it a collection of common illness. Some say it was made up by the pharmaceutical industry to make money on treatment drugs.
Then HIV was discovered as the cause and the belief shifted to HIV existing but not being the cause of AIDS.
Kary Mullis who conveniently died in 2019 DID call out the aids hoax in which Anthony Fauci had a role.

You're correct as was Tapioca; I think I was being overly semantic ...Duesberg and Mullis were both AIDS official narrative opponents...Duesberg's book refutes the official story unequivocally....points out the junk non science that formed the fake basis for the whole thing

Here's a tantalizing take on the mystery of AIDS in Africa, which differs in many important ways from AIDS in the developed world (it affects men and women equally, it is much more virulent, etc.). From Isaiah Oke's 1989 "Blood Secrets: The True Story of Demon Worship and Ceremonial Murder":
Now, this would make a lot of sense. AIDS, or "slim disease" as it is known in Africa, is clearly real. I remember being a young adult in the 90's when the AIDS scare propaganda was at its height. I never understood why AIDS was somehow nearly impossible to transmit in the West yet was rampant in Africa. I now doubt that HIV and AIDS have any connection. But it seems clear that lots of Africans really were/are dying of something "like AIDS" that had no real equivalent in the developed world. Well, not only would Oke's theory explain the discrepancy, it actually connects nicely with one of Fomenko's harder-to-accept historical reconstructions and makes it more plausible. In "How it was in Reality", Fomenko argues that the Old Testament account of the genocide of Canaan is actually the deformed account of a campaign waged by the Golden Horde against the refractory and libertarian Western European colonies in (I think) the 15th century. Fomenko claims that the sexual licence of the Western Europeans unleashed a plague of sexually transmitted diseases that endangered the entire empire. Well, herpes sucks, but it's not exactly grounds for genocide, so logically he can only be talking about AIDS or something like AIDS. The decision was therefore taken in Constantinople to exterminate everyone for hygienic reasons. Like many of Fomenko's hypotheses, it is simultaneously brilliant and hard to accept. The Bible certainly talks a lot about "purity" in a way that seems more closely connected to hygiene than morality. But what's the connection between idol worship, sexual excess, and the plague? Well, here we have our connection. The people were not sick because of too much screwing. No, they were sick because of too much ritual blood drinking (which leads to uncontrolled violence and fornication as well according to Oke, since the spirits that possess people via blood want to kill and fuck).

This involves the horrible torture of an innocent human being. The more innocent and horrifying torture the better, especially children. The orishas (gods) and especially Esu, satan are attracted to the screaming and will grant whomever paid for the surgery will inherit great wealth. The murdered person's soul becomes that person's "slave spirit." The ceremony they performed on animals and humans was called "The 20 Cuts" In the west evidence of these these practices are considered one offs and committed rarely by deranged people.
Another disease caused by blood drinking is Ebola. I saw a documentary about this, the married couple the crew was following said Ebola is a white man's lie. It is them causing Ebola and their treatments will kill them, like with AIDS. The ebola virus is from eating bats and drinking their blood. Blood drinking is a normal part of African culture. It is part of the animal and at least a bit is consumed at normal meals. Monkeys carry types of AIDS that were probably spread this way as well.

But aids? That was the hepatitis B vax given to gay men in the US + their own toxic drug taking + the fake tests to give people the fake expensive medicine. Which in high enough doses would kill the "patient".
