We've all heard that one before. The terraces of The Crystal Palace, the glass and steel structure that somehow burst into flames in 1936, have stood there since it was built without needing to be touched but now they suddenly need to be restored? Supposedly they are only clearing the overgrown vegetation but what's with all the scaffolding and excavating? As some of you may know I live fairly close to Crystal Palace so this is particularly interesting to me.

What do you think? Innocent tidy-up or something more?

Just thought I'd show this one from 1910 for another perspective. Note the trams and the shapes on top of the poles.

I see the lakes are described as Tidal Lakes on the Regeneration document, so I guess they must have (or still do?) connect to the Thames or one of its tributaries.

I wonder sometimes if the long tidal ranges in Britain have been vitally used in the past, perhaps deriving salt (for batteries?)

Lovely old pics, especially as an impressive backdrop.

Intereting that the site is getting some attention.
The scaffolding is actually security fencing.

Incidentally. Have you seen any kind of archeological undertakings being done at the site?

Interesting that you mention salt - the Great Pyramid of Giza which I believe may have been a battery-like generator contained considerable traces of salt in the Queen’s (?) chamber - from memory.

There are notions that the quartz crystalline-based piezoelectric material (possibly a type of geopolymer) used to construct most of the African pyramids (in Egypt, Sudan etc) functioned as part of a highly advanced yet superficially rudimentary form of technology - to what end? A battery perhaps, water purification some say, or maybe there were multple functions... perhaps some involving a "planetary grid" as seen in the geometric leyline network that spans the realm and coincides with the locations of major architectural and geographical sites (pyramids, churches, cathedrals, obelisks, stone circles & lines, volcanoes, islands like Hawaii and Easter Island etc).

Interestingly we find obelisks in Paris, America & London (in the same area as the Crystal Palace). There's a thread which questions the official narrative about their origins. We find diverse pyramidal forms world-wide also, including North America (100's of Egyptian artefacts found in Utah, Illinois etc).

Back to Britain, here's a visual of some British leylines and associated structures (39 = Tower of London, Crystal Palace is 7.2 mi South).

Here's a general realm perspective:
...1: Pyramids in Khem/Kemet
...11: England - stonehenge?
...17: Grand Canyon?
...18: Bermuda triangle
...20: Africa: Richat eye structure
...47: Hawaii?

And a more appropriate level earth perspective:
