They say this was built in two years 1877-79 when Detroit’s population was c. 80,000. This was 110 years after Pontiac’s Rebellion. The tower was at the time the tallest building in the USA. Less than 20 years later it was closed down and demolished in 1945. Nobody wonders to ask why magnificent architecture like this was built and then demolished after 66 years. As you can see it was built out in the middle of nowhere. This is not American architecture.

Note the similarity in design to the Utah University building; built in 1887 by 24 year old self-taught architect John H Burton. These are Tartarian architecture and remnants of the prior civilization.

Prior civilization.

Where the devil did it go?

That is a stunning tower pictured there. If it had survived until this day, the thing would be plastered with mobile communication hardware looking like unsightly barnacles.

I wonder if its original purpose was to ventilate an underground facility beneath the building.

All that remains is the gate (below). The towers were torn down in 1945.

Compare to size of people. #1 Man waving in middle, #3 Man on bench on lower right
