The brazilian Monroe Palace, projected according to the narrative, to be the main brazilian pavillion during the 1904 Saint Louis world fair. It's said that the entire structure was built to be dissassembled, so it could be transported to the fair and brought back after.

There are no construction photos during this early stage, which makes this entire narrative already a hoax in my mind. In the fair, it won the main architecture prize

Here is where it srarts to get funny: only the metal frame and dome were indeed brought back, because everything else was built with wood and plaster! It was rebuilt in Rio de Janeiro in 1906. What the hell......

Between the decades of 1910s/20s itbwas repurposed for political reasons. It remained as the senate building until 1937, when it was shut down until the end of ww2

In 1950 a new segment was built, where 2 balconies were originally. During the 1960s/70s it became an office building for the senate, now in the new capital.

It was demolished in 1976, despiste massive resistance from the local population. Another gourgeous building, gone

So ViniB, just to make sure I got this straight, are you saying this bldg is wood and plaster, not stone? Except the dome etc as mentioned. Sidenote, although it's not (I don't think) old world mysterious, I think Brasilia(?) is really cool architecturally.

Yes, according to the narrative, only the dome and frame were metal. Literally everything else was wood and plaster, but upon being rebuilt permanently in Rio in 1906, it was no longer wood & plaster Inc. but real stone

Ok cool, that makes sense.

Not really, because there’s not a single photo that i could find of this whole trajectory of:
- initial construction
- fair assembly and dissassembly
- final construction in Rio
- whole process from 1904 to 1906
2 full years and no photos of it

Yeah, no of course not, but for me understanding it, I get it. The official narrative I mean. Hmm. Makes me wonder then, do you think the final construction in Rio, is actually a reproduction of what was in fact an old world bldg that was demolished?
Edit - or that the st louis one was plaster, but the one in rio is actually old world?
