We know that the ancients used to consider astrology to be a proper science, inseparable from astronomy. They would track every visible celestial body and tie it back to an exact time and location, and they would use it to predict future events on both small and large scales. People still do this today with star charts and the way watered down zodiac, but it's considered by most to be just for fun and not a serious thing.
But let's assume for a second that it is a serious thing. How could celestial bodies that are so far away that we can barely even see them with the naked eye have such a profound effect on our world and our lives?
I recently ran across an interesting, though not well studied, phenomenon in humans. Namely, we seem to have 28 day cycles that our bodies' sodium levels follow, which further get broken down into roughly 7 day segments when following a consistent schedule with a consistent diet.
What else do we know of that follows a 28 day cycle?
This old gal right here
I haven't researched very extensively into the Electric Universe Hypothesis, but I know that one of the things that's proposed is that tides are caused not by gravity, but by the salt content of bodies of water. If the salty ocean can be affected by the moon, surely our salty asses can too. Maybe we can even be affected by the entire solar system, just like the ancients believed.
As an aside, could this cycle be the true basis for why our weeks are 7 days long? Just a thought.
