I wasn't sure where to post this video, but this thread seems to be a good spot as it gets into some of the history of cloud seeding, crazy storms that were the result of weather modification, and beyond. It's an informative video for those that study this topic.

I lived in miles city Mt, back in the early 80’s. Great place, but has extreme weather periodically including big hail storms (like up to 4-6 feet sometimes). I witnessed virga a few times- rain that doesn’t hit the ground.

In 1981 I went on a tour of a local project that they said was studying hail formation. I finally found the name
CCOPE
The goal was to answer some of the fundamental problems that stand in the way of evaluating the potential of weather modification techniques and of predicting precipitation and severe weather. The primary emphasis was on interactions occurring within the storms and between the storms and their immediate environment in the 100 km scale. The approach was coordinated multiple aircraft measurements in combination with conventional and Doppler radar observations.

The specific scientific objectives included the study of:

ccope_schematic.jpg
Schematic of the CCOPE field experiment showing the approximate locations of radar installations and weather stations and teh flight patterns of some of the aircraft.
  • hydrometer evolution
  • precipitation efficiency
  • the origins of ice
  • entrainment
  • storm structure and environment
  • storm initiation
  • atmospheric nucleation
  • atmospheric chemistry
  • storm electrification

Freak hailstorm dumps up to 5 feet of ice on Guadalajara, Mexico

July 1, 2019, Tamar Lapin, New York Post

Residents of Mexico’s second-largest city woke up in shock Sunday to find that nearly 5 feet of hail had accumulated in some areas, trapping cars and damaging hundreds of homes.

“I’ve never seen such scenes in Guadalajara,” Jalisco Gov. Enrique Alfaro told Agence France-Presse. “These are never-before-seen natural phenomenons. It’s incredible.”

Hail usually occurs during thunderstorms when updrafts carry warm, moist air above the freezing level, condensing it. A hailstone grows as additional water freezes onto it, and eventually becomes too heavy and falls to the ground.

In Guadalajara, which has temperatures nearing 90 in June, more moisture is available, contributing to hailstorms.

The city is situated at 5,000 feet above sea level, and “higher elevation means you are closer to the freezing level, so it’s more common to see hail,” said Accuweather meteorologist James Andrews.

“What’s special about this, is the intensity of the storm and the huge amount of hail that it brought,” he said. “It’s staggering.”

In Sunday’s case, the storm occurred in the early morning, when it was about 60 degrees, and the hail core sat above the same spot for a significant amount of time, Andrews said.

“If you have intense hail falling along with rain and it’s happening in the same place for an extended length of time, you’re going to get tremendous runoff.”

A combination of water and hail moved downslope, because of the local topography, and obstacles, like buildings, likely blocked the flow of hail, allowing more ice to accumulate on top.

“Hail depth from the storm [alone] couldn’t have been that strong,” Andrews said. “That great depth could be accounted for that the hail was running off street like in a flash flood and accumulated in a low spot.”

“It may have just been a freaky coincidence of the local layout,” Andrews said.

SD Comment: Another recent (this past summer) example of an extreme weather event that one would think the mainstream news would be tickled pink to shove down our throats. But not so much - as it doesn’t really fit the GW narrative.

While the story was picked up by some major news outlets at the time (NY Post / CBS) it wasn’t a major story and nobody I know was aware of it until I brought it up.

This is another pickup from Mia’s New Pair of Glasses free offerings on YT - the connection being it’s another sign the Electromagnetic Plasma Changeover Event / next reset cycle is expected in the not too distant future.

Fans of her partner Brian Austin Lambert’s EMPCOE series, Spacebusters Comets and Cataclysms series, Zeitgeist, the NORB theory and probably most people on SH - know the only time the event can happen is during the winter solstice - as the Sun will not begin to rise again on the third day/Christmas. So at least it’s safe to say that we have another year on our hands at this point!

Glad someone was on that winter solstice sunrise thing. I had good intentions this year but just too much going on to monitor it. Probably would have been more motivated to pay attention if I could have been 100 percent sure of the theory's validity. Good job keeping score for us. Fairly sure the ice dump in Mexico was covered on this site and curious pics of ice on one side of the road, none on other side were provided. Strange things happening with the weather these days.

Wow. Checkmate. I did not check to see if this was already covered on SH - as it clearly was. Very sloppy on my part.

BAL did post a free video at some point a few months ago acknowledging that his original 2019-2020 (remember 20/20 vision) call would not come to fruition. Which is honorable. However, continuing with the 100% accurate model label is less so IMHO.

This site has a lot of posts/threads. Easy to overlook a few. Plus, there's so much information that it's easy to forget what we've read (at least it is for me). I'm beginning to think we can't be 100 percent sure of anything anymore. All any of us seem to be left with are our strongly held opinions, which is as good a place to start searching for truth as any, I suppose. Clues like your post help piece it all together. Carry on, brother.

I will merge threads covering same things. So no hard feelings please. We cannot have two of each.
