SH Archive Baljenac, the island that looks like a fingerprint

I never heard of this place before today, so I know nothing about it. I do know that I don't believe a word of the official narrative as to what these walls are and why they were built, or who built them. Sure, you COULD grow grapes and crops on and between them, I guess, but it looks like a very harsh place for growing anything. My thought is that this is what desperate people did on the island long after the walls had been constructed by someone else.

Kaprije is trying to keep the memory of those who made dry walls at the speed of concrete mixers, with their bare hands.

Is this what really happened, or is it another just-so tale by the same people who tell us that giant cities can be built in a couple of decades? And I wonder what is under those walls.

It certainly isn't obvious why someone would expend that much effort to build all those walls.

Looking from above, I wondered if was for making salt, but the ground is too hilly. It also looks reminiscent of rice paddies. Maybe its that the island was very rocky and that they had to move the rocks somewhere to get to the ground and grow something. But you'd think they'd throw them into the sea and make their island bigger or make a harbor or something.

Mind, in support of the official story, you if the 'terroir' was considered worthy, producing a wine with a particular mineral taste, vine growers may make the effort as they would expect to make that back as they sell the wine.

It seem there a quite a few islands in the area that don't fit the norm. Even a sort of star fort.
