Found this on twitter.

What happened to the grim Victorian hardships portrayed in History lessons?

Edit. Some of those boys look remarkebly similar, plus the old 'hand in jacket' training them young!

Edit - edit. It appears there is a longer version made for The Worlds Fair in Cork, 1902. Off to take a look.

Longer version File:Visual Tour of Ireland, April-May 1902.webm - Wikimedia Commons

Turns out the final 3 minutes were shot in Wexford, not Cork

'One of the oldest silent movies of Cork City, now in colour and with added sound!'

April-May 1902

- Electric trams on St. Patrick’s Street, first appearing in Cork four years earlier
- Street sweepers and a steam roller in the second segment
- Standoff between an ass and a tram! https://t.co/d8a1pyWH4r
