I don't see the correlation. Only a handful of people have been mentioned which is far from "everybody" as you claim. You also provide no current "intellectual powerhouses" which was also never mentioned and is a common thread derailing tactic to introduce new unrelated and strawman arguments. In summary, you introduce "everyone" and then attack your new claim.Let's not all pull a Marcia Ramalho and claim that everybody in history was either a fraud or didn't exist.
Men back then were intellectual powerhouses. There are still people nowadays, albeit few, who can be as creative and productive.
