I want to state that I don't personally believe in the Flat Earth hypothesis. That said, i thought this video was shameful and quite transparent in it's smear campaign to shut the Flat Earther's up. They didn't once actually exhibit one of their arguments. Then, their big proof of the curvature of the Earth? Well.. let me say, it really made me wonder, take a look at this screenshot I put together:

As I wrote in the image, why on Earth is the water still visible PAST the boat? I honestly want the "scientific" explanation for this, because based on their own graphic, the water should NOT be visible still. The only way that water WOULD be, is if the water is curving upwards, which is absurd.

Here's the video itself:

Browsing the comments I find this one:

Which reminds me of my older post here: Did the Greeks know the world was round?

Where I wrote:
What a neat little web of circular confirmation they build, where you're an idiot to believe the world is round because some guy in the BC's (actually in the 19th century?!) calculated the circumference...

Wayyy down I notice someone finally comments this same observation:

Measured with a stick, seems legit.

At what point and where does it start to curve?

I have never believed in illusions but yet when i look out to sea what i see is an illusion, no word games, i actually see an illusion, i would love to know why but i fear that i may never know.

I can't think which university it was but they got busted for doing something like this with a boat on the horizon.

Although this is a good stab at an explanation it still boggles my mind,

This explains it quite clearly, I believe. We do not live on a ball.

It is because of refraction. You can see further than you ought to be able to see, because light bends around the surface. In the above image by Paul R, you can see that the bottom of the platforms are missing if you look up photos of the platforms from a closer distance.
I personally think flat earth is being pushed to discredit other serious alternative researchers and I think debunk videos like OPs are intentionally poorly made to give credibility to those pushing flatearth theories.

I watch this guy quite often as he has a good way with words and cuts through the smell of horseshit as if it were a physical object, iI don't think he is funded by any nefarious entity's unlike Jesuit jeranism or eric(my dad's a freemason) dubious.

My mind is still open, but here is the thing, this issue has gone from we have absolute proof to we can't prove it because our eyesight is flawed and never will be able to.

Is this post serious? I thought all in alternative circles knew by now the world is NOT a spinning spaceball. Just look at the horizon and you see it doesnt curve horizontally, hence it shouldnt curve vertically (given the world is not a space cylinder). ;)

This video is pretty interesting :
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdX3PLYW62M

if you fill an unlevel surface with water build a brick line above it, measure the distance of the gap between the brick and water across at any point from right to left , the level the surface of the water will be level correct? now on a big scale , when will the water curve? lol
