Judging by a pretty drastic reformatting of the North and South American continents outline, with simultaneous creation of the Sahara desert, and stripping the Siberian region of its forests and everything alive, the financial crisis would definitely accompany such event. Limited food supply would bring an additional caveat into the debacle.

Quite possible indeed, and there has to be a much better evidence left by the resetters compared to the one we have uncovered so far. May be we are just not looking in the right places, or from the correct perspective.

This would be a possibility . I was working under the assumption that the survivors (who ever build the buildings) had no real currency . Coins they claim from the eras look like they where made in a cave with hand tools. In no way reflective of the ability of the builders.
