An Ancient Horse Is Unearthed In A Utah Backyard

you guys are gonna love this.. so the family in question is building something? in their backyard that requires extensive excavation up to a depth of seven feet!!

Some hole huh? anyway they find a whole entire ice age horse except the head... whoops! see it happened like this

< Yeah right

that's some wall!!! so anyway

so if you find a bone tell your local paleontologist and he'll send a team down there Johnny on the spot!

all neat and tidy fully articulated perfect
so it turns out that according to Mr Hunter, paleontologist Utah was covered with a lake during the ice age but somehow this horse found a way to die here

so our experts are concluding that a horse with a cancerous ankle fleeing from a predator swam to the middle of Utah when it was a lake (sounds more like an ocean ) and then died in the Lake /Ocean where it stayed all curled up perfectly articulated in what is now dry land, the Hills backyard
So it turns out that there wasn't enough time for this horse to fossilze so we have to dry these bones for the museum

???? Oh rilly ?? first they dehydrate then they fossilize ,gotcha

additional facts horse is about the size of a Shetland pony (biggest damn Shetland I ever saw)

But its all good news for for the Hills because they're gonna get a fat tax break and all the neighborhood kids want to become paleontologists

I need timeshifter to get over here and yuck this up with me !!??? what do you guys think ???

There are two cases: this family fears an invasion of the Mongols or must have an excessive love of privacy

see that s the other thing permits, but they excavated their whole yard! oh yeah and to plant grass ? top soils is so overrated?
looks like theyre building an underground bunker and hooray!! we found a sweet skeleton that just might end up paying for it!! after said tax breaks kick in! Take that Mongols!

Found it exactly where the deep end was going to be on that Utah pool you can’t use most of the year in Lehi.

does anyone think that horse skeleton is small? I am no horse expert but I wasn’t expecting it to be much bigger than the person in the photo.

The depth is understandable of a dig for a retaining wall as they would need to get down to bedrock for the foundation if its a major one, but like already said the amount cleared looks more like for a swimming pool.

You've got me thinking now where did the breed of tiny horses come from that we see around today? They are the size of a dog.
I've never seen them mentioned in any historical books I've read, and never knew they existed until I saw some in a paddock in Australia.
