Fact and fiction as sources.

I tend to think one has nothing but his own discernment to really use. Like how will people 1000 years from now look at the history of 9/11? Will it still be the mainstream narrative? How many (conspiracy) theories will remain at that point in time? There are a lot of them. Really it’s almost pointless to study history at all as it seems to me that it all reads like a sci-fi/fantasy novel. I enjoy it though and I especially like reading all the different threads on this site.
When you think how many differing views there are about the present time, and then consider how stories will be naturally altered (eg chinese whispers), nevermind the wilful actions by those with the power to change the record via removal of records or education, there is only a little to say. Perhaps we are on most solid ground, when we look at what's being altered in the present (eg the creation of records for subaltern voices) as that at least indicates the areas of concern for the present day powers or collective consciousness.
