Cool stuff thx Vini. Just out of curiosity, what kind of weapons etc are you into? As for the field of dating, couldnt agree more. I blame social media and all those damn apps....It's always nice to look at old books and magazines, for me particularly about weapons, and would you look at this! An entire section with random ass rocks from "the Stone age" with dates that can go from 250.000-70.000bc and 80.000-40.000bc! The entire field of dating is a goddamn farse

Ok first off, cmon, that was a good one, none of my jokes work here......dating....apps...nevermindWeapons i like go from wheel locks to ww2 era, but what i'm most curious about is that, in a timespan of 80 years, firearns went from single shot muskets to full auto machine guns
Its surprising to hear that you were a Vulcan crew member. I understood this was a British plane (part of the RAF, not army) but you have a US flag over your icon. It was a unique aircraft.I was in the army back when and was a vulcan crewmember.
I love you feralimal. I'm just gonna leave it and let you do some research for a change. Its surprising to hear that you were a Vulcan crew member. I understood this was a British plane (part of the RAF, not army) but you have a US flag over your icon. It was a unique aircraft.
The claim: science can determine the strength of solar storms 14,300 years ago.An international team of scientists has discovered an extreme spike in radiocarbon corresponding to the year 12350 BC during the dusk of the last Ice Age. However, the strength of the event could not be assessed earlier because of the lack of an appropriate model. It has now been identified as the most powerful solar particle storm known to date—a colossal space weather storm that struck Earth 14,300 years ago.
A model designed to reconstruct solar storms under climate conditions found a colossal space storm! 18% stronger than AD 775!In the study, postdoctoral researcher Kseniia Golubenko and Professor Ilya Usoskin at the University of Oulu, Finland, used their newly developed chemistry–climate model called SOCOL:14C-Ex, specifically designed to reconstruct solar particle storms under ancient glacial climate conditions.
The model confirmed that the detected solar event was approximately 18% stronger than the notorious AD 775 event—until now the strongest solar storm ever recorded in tree-ring archives.
Such dramatic spikes—known as Miyake events, named after the Japanese researcher who first discovered them—offer invaluable data for scientists studying both solar activity, ancient Earth systems and space climate.
"Miyake events allow us to pin down exact calendar years in floating archaeological chronologies," says Usoskin. Radiocarbon signals from such events have already enabled researchers to precisely date Viking settlements in Newfoundland and Neolithic communities in Greece.
I *think* its to do with the location setting.I'll give you hints if you tell me how to change the flag
same old, same old. "attributed to Phidias through ancient writings", writings that we can't find a source for.Phidias was a master sculptor in ancient Greece. Very little is known of his life, but his accomplishments are famous throughout the world. Phidias worked masterfully with bronze and other materials, and he created colossal statues in commemoration of Greek gods and events. While none of his original works have been confirmed to be in existence today, we are able to view replicas of his creations, which have been attributed to Phidias through ancient writings.
Hegias? Like a Hagia Sofia. 'Hagia' means 'holy', hegia probably is the same.It is believed that Phidias lived from 480 through 430 BC. He was a Greek sculptor, painter and architect, and he is often referred to as one of the greatest sculptors of Classical Greece, which lasted through the 4 th and 5 th centuries BC. He was the son of Charmides of Athens, and it is believed that his masters were Hegias and Hageladas.
Critias tells Socrates that Charmides is his cousin, son of his uncle Glaucon.
Charmides (dialogue) - WikipediaCharmides was Plato's uncle, his mother's brother. Critias, Socrates' other interlocutor, was Charmides' first cousin, making Plato Critias' first cousin once removed.
Several years ago, Phidias’ workshop at Olympia (where he created the Statue of Zeus) was discovered. It was excavated from 1954 – 1958, revealing tools, terracotta molds and a cup bearing the inscription "I belong to Phidias." Through these discoveries archaeologists have been able to confirm the date of the statue and recreate the techniques used to build it.

The head is short, with a small, rounded preocular sclerite, three prominent eyes and appendages with curving endites tipped with paired spines, altogether suggesting a nektonic, macrophagous predatory ecology.
Ok this is really funny. I think his son did one that was unearthed in Worcester that had "Worlds Best Dad" on it.A second post today:

What is the meaning of Hageladas (or Ageladas)? Or fidias?

So, the master sculptor 'Snake' had 2 masters 'Holy' and 'Cow'. OMFG. Holy cow.
And Charmides?
Charmides (dialogue) - Wikipedia
So, Phidias dad may be a relation to Socrates and Plato? Plato was his cousin? Phidias is a charmed snake, for sure. Mind you, apparently there were only about 10 people in Ancient Greece so perhaps we shouldn't be surprised by these connections.
Back to the article.
And here is the evidence:

Funnily enough, I found a mug the other day too. I wonder who it belonged to?

The evidence is all around us, if only we can generate it with ai or create a spreadsheet/model of it!
Man that was tough to get through. Do you have any poetry? I was reading through to see if they mention the third eye as possible mutation. Didn't seem like it?https://royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/rsos.242122#F1

To be fair, we don't know when Stonehenge was actually built - maybe some black people were involved in the 18th century or something. However, I don't think that's a position currently held by any red or blue 'think tanks'.
10 years of reconstruction restored megalitic tomb to how it was 5,500 years ago. After more than 10 years of excavation, investigation and study, the megaliths of the Neolithic tomb on Küsterberg hill near the city of Haldensleben in central Germany, have been reconstructed as they stood when they were first built 5,500 years ago.
Busy.Armed with this detailed information about the pre-historic monument, the city of Haldensleben worked with archaeologists from the State Office for Monument Preservation and Archaeology of Saxony-Anhalt, volunteers and heavy machinery to rearrange the fallen stones in a partial reconstruction of their original positions. A giant earth mover and crane raised the wall stones and capstones to their original locations. Dry stone walls were rebuilt by hand. The burial chamber was filled with gravel and the entrance sealed with stones.
Slots right into the history bike trail too. Handy. The reconstructed Küsterberg megalithic tomb was inaugurated on April 27th and is now a key stop in the 25-mile “Four Million Years of Human History” circular route about Haldensleben and the 50-mile bicycle path. It has also been added to the European Route of Megalithic Culture project that links together dozens of megalithic tombs in Germany, Denmark, England, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Sweiden. The project is a platform for museums, heritage organizations and archaeological parks to present these tombs to tourists as the great topographical and cultural landmarks that our ancient ancestors considered them to be for thousands of years.
It's admited in the articule that the reconstruction is partial, what a bloody joke!
Trappist beer and speculoos biscuits. Delicious.Detection of an Earth-sized exoplanet orbiting the nearby ultracool dwarf star SPECULOOS-3 - Nature Astronomy
More bullshitacus cientificus about "another planet" from last year, but for some reason it only made into the news recently. The name of "the planet" says it all
