Mingzhongdu Drum Tower
Listen

20th May 2025 – (Zhongdu City) On 19th May a major portion of roof tiles from the Mingzhongdu Drum Tower in Fengyang County, Anhui Province, collapsed, raising concerns over the structural integrity of the historic site and the quality of its recent renovation. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. Local authorities confirmed that the Drum Tower had undergone extensive repairs, completed in March 2024, at a cost of RMB 3.41 million.
The Drum Tower, originally built in 1375 during the Ming Dynasty and reconstructed in 1995, has faced recurring structural issues, including tile dislodgements and damaged eaves since 2017. The growing safety risks prompted local officials to launch a comprehensive restoration project in 2023. Following a public tender process, project design, construction, and supervision teams were appointed in May 2023, with work commencing in September of that year. Renovation efforts included repairing the double-eaved roof, replacing damaged tiles and beams, and reinforcing safety features such as second-story railings.

In the wake of the incident, Fengyang County activated its emergency response protocol to ensure public safety. Crowds gathered at the site were quickly evacuated, and safety barriers were installed by 11pm to prevent further risks to bystanders. The county’s Cultural and Tourism Bureau reported that the collapse occurred at approximately 6.30pm and involved one side of the roof.
To address the situation, the county government established a dedicated investigative team and directed the project’s design, construction, and oversight firms to inspect the site alongside independent experts. The investigation will assess potential flaws in the renovation process and determine accountability.
Known locally as Zhongdu Qiaolou, the Mingzhongdu Drum Tower holds significant historical value as part of the old city district of Fengyang. While the original structure was largely destroyed during the Qing Dynasty in 1853, the tower’s base was designated a provincial key cultural relic protection unit in 1989. Its reconstruction in 1995 aimed to restore its former architectural glory, blending historic preservation with modern engineering.

Another prime example of how uniformitarianism is a cancer killing truth. The rocks are pretty damn cool actually, never heard of them before.

But it imediatelly gets swept under conventional concepts, like how they formed and the alledged nasa involvement! Like, how much of this is actually true, or is it multiple psyops going on at the same time?

Lots of cool stories in that one, but who knows if the rocks even exist?

Nope, just those bones in orange, and just like that a new creature is born, straight from their minds
Nice find Vini. It's funny to me how big FE is and all that, but really dino bs is even more widespread and always has been. They are so fake and the whole sordid history, I mean the real history of fake dinosaurs, is so ridiculous. Try telling a bunch of college educated 40 year olds that dinosaurs are fake and no one with a brain believes in Darwinian evolution and they will pity you and think how sad.....

Uniformitarianism is to blame for the endless wave of shit in this fake reality. Funny enough, it started as a political counterpart to catastrophism but quickly spread to the sciences.

It's taken as the foundation of modern geology, and was also adopted to every other field of natural sciences,.that's why we have so many overlaps between, as an example, geology and paleonthology

Hmmmmm does this go here, or Gravity versus buoyancy/density here....

Q:

Can astronauts burp in space?

A:
Not really–at least not the kind of burping we do here on Earth.
In space, astronauts are in a constant state of freefall, so gravity doesn't help separate gases from everything else in their stomachs. This means that the gases don't naturally stay near the top of the stomach, while the heavier liquids and solids settle to the bottom. Without the affect of gravity, the gases, foods, and liquids stay floating together. So if an astronaut tries to burp in space, a little bit of everything comes up (solids, liquids, and gases). Basically, burping in space means throwing up a .....

Good stuff right? I think we timeline jumped or something and we're living in Logan's run....

At this point is so ridiculous theses psyop.
Even the stupidest normy NPC is starting to see through the lie. The stock of bad actors is so low that they are now using junkie.
It's the same script over and over, the symbolism, the police, the made scenario, the Skynews/BBC promotion and interview.
And 95% of the reporter/presenter or journalist lying blatantly is a woman. Look at this female reporter or this "chief of police" reading the script without a shred of shame on her face.

It doesn't matter the country, it's the same script psyop in JewK or JewSA or anywhere in the world

I've no issue with a difference in colour in artwork that is old but where separate pieces have been stored differently.
I am quite busy lately, and occupied with other things ...

I suppose you know what a tryptich is - akin to a window with shutters, with the wing paintings attached to sides of the central painting. For most of the time, being the central piece of a church altar, they are either exposed to sunlight together, or covered together. It is the UV content in the sunlight that causes the darkening. Thus I see the obvious difference in brightness as proof they were not created together.
The central piece could in theory be faithful copy of the original - but I think it is not.
Not only is there no smooth transition to either of the wings. Persons are "cut off", the cave ceiling doesn't really match, and body proportions seem somehow off, and the clothing style looks different.
PS Stepping into the realm of speculation, I would guess that the creation of this triptych is a money making scheme.
I would be a bit more generous ...
Such triptychs generally adorned churches, which were central part of the daily life back then. The church itself, i.e. the building and its decoration, were a perfect opportunity to show off, and demonstrate you are more successfuly and better off than the other town over there. For them it was not a great piece of art and cultural importance, but of craftmanship that had to "keep up with the Joneses".
Thus I believe they had no problems repairing a recreating parts of it, if it got damaged. Society hasn't changed that much, I think it's established fact that the people depicted were not imagined ones', but real persons served as stand-ins for this religious motiv. Most probably a "noble" as Jesus, and the city council and most successful merchants surrounding him. After all, they donated the money, and thus they decided whom to depict. And I guess one could find the artist himself somewhere in the background ...
Painings itself are not really an area of expertise for me. I'm sure the position and configuration of the nails front right is supposed to tell us something, as are the usual gestures, finger pointing, clothes & colors, and background objects. But I leave that to the experts.

Another story that I suspect to be fake from beginning to end.

Martha Gellhorn Was The Only Woman to Report on the D-Day Landings From the Ground

Public Relations. "Gellhorn (third from left) later co-wrote a play about her wartime experiences."

The only female war correspondent.

Famous suffragist relations.

"There has to be a better way to run the world, and we had better see that we get it." Yes... but which 'we'?

Lots of people assist the first lady, right?

Bad Ernest.

Plucky. Setting the scene with dynamite and dealing with the patriarchy.

"Contrary to several sources" - did previous narratives fail to stick?

but, later we read:

Reports on the holocaust.

This article and her wiki page, have this fake, over the top, self-aggrandising tone (that is interpreted as plucky). We are being told this is a person that can do no wrong, a heroine on the right side of history.
Happy D day feralimal. A quick thanks for all you do here at SH, sincerely. As for this post, honestly I think you're just too suspicious. It's a feel good story, and it makes me proud to be a feminist. Also, as an American, you're welcome, you know for the whole saving England in WWII thing.

Obviously I'm kidding, the Germans beat themselves. On purpose of course. Oy! History! What are we gonna do? Joking around

ps tell me what you think feralimal: inspired by this thread (Daily Fake), a similar thread about basically historical artefacts (edit- if us using them means they are not artefacts yeah cool ok) that we still use today. I thought it might be a good way to stimulate discussion/research...
Since I've been thinking about it, I've been noticing things everywhere; Angostura bitters, 50 cal machine gun, mason jars, ginger ale....
Edit - Worcestershire sauce, 1835, had some with dinner....

Seeing as you like this sort of thing, have you seen this ww2 thread where I do some number crunching with the provided numbers?

Tartar sauce (for fish and chips) comes to mind too.

I'm all for new interesting research, but there are lots of historical artifacts (all of them?!) so maybes you'd need to hone in a bit with some specific angle?

Yeah, great thread. There is an old KD that I'm too lazy to look up where I think he does WWII ship building number crunch stuff. And ya know, I've been reading Observations on things., kinda wild but really interesting. I am a big believer in the way of disproving as opposed to the way of proof. I just think it's a potentially far more fruitful strategy. I think the way that you and KD and JD755 use what seem to be various versions of JD's logistics approach are incredibly useful. My hats off to all of you. It's probably been discussed somewhere here, but it seems a logistics angle could give good insight into the veracity of the starfort narrative.

Yum. Duly noted. I'm thinking it could be like here's some info on tartar sauce, first recorded on a cave wall in France or something. On the lighter side, but knowing that every little piece is a thread.
