Of course almost everyone is in a trance. That is clearly visible to those who are awake. But it is also due to ignorance about self-consciousness. That is often not developed. There are few (spiritual) teachers and those who are are often fake or are still deep in the ego of the animal that humans also are. Indeed, through education, people are strengthened in the illusion of society. An illusion that is created by those interested. Perhaps if we know who they are, we can learn a little bit of the truth from their behaviour. (!)
I myself mainly saw the illusion of mass hypnosis very clear with covid. That was a good example of how people go along with the illusion that is created. But okay. I think it is a shame if the good person wastes his or her time on earth by living half-alive. After all, someone who lives in an illusion only lives half-alive. He or she rather 'vegetates', is not truly aware. The annoying thing is living together with the 'normal' person who is in the ego-state because he offers no resistance at all to the 'enemy' (bad people).
I myself also think that reading and writing makes you sort of 'crazy'. Our brains are not meant for that. That is why the brain has to work overtime to avoid going completely crazy.
And it reminds me of people who are 'enlightened'. They are freed from illusion and live more in truth, I think. But it is very difficult to become enlightened, because who understands that? You have to work to get rid of the lies and that takes time, pain, sorrow, loneliness. Well.
There are multiple spiritual paths to enlightenment.
f.e. (Free in my own words and not correct, read for yourself please, see: Matth: 5-7) Jesus Christ explained that God provided for everything and we were allowed to receive everything, and we receive according to our actions; forgiveness, temperance, humility, hope, faith, love, etc.. Be good and thank God.
Krishnamurti (Jiddu) emphasised not wanting to have; man is greedy and always WANTS to control EVERYTHING, but when we let go and understand ourselves what that endless greed means and can free ourselves from it, then we can begin to be happy.
Of course, self-knowledge is very important, just as self-awareness is very important to be present with a helicopter view, so to speak. Looking from a distance and going with the moment is much of what we can already do. I myself see a lot in the way of attention. Give the other all the attention he or she asks for, be questioning and non-judgemental, forgive everything and everyone, but (and) don't forget yourself.
A mistake that is sometimes made is to turn everything around, I think. Like: they say the earth is round, they lie about everything, that will probably not be true either. But, moreover, above all: when the person who thinks about the shape of the earth, does not first understand himself, knows the law of nature, has re-educated himself, has become clear and bright in the mind, freed from selfishness, only then can he see further than his nose is long. That applies to many subjects, also the flat or round (globe) earth. Without self-knowledge there is little (really) to know.
So someone has to be free of himself, as it were, whether or not extra brainwashed by who knows who, before he can do anything good. For example, he also has to know that happiness is in him; he is always happy, because it is in himself, something so mysterious I think. So he can share that happiness with his fellow man. That is good, I think. That is also a path to enlightenment. Because without enlightenment there is little to know. That is why it was carved in old schools: Know thyself.
From the school of non-dualism one can learn that language itself already causes confusion. To talk (the more to write) is a medium that also creates an illusion. If we do not see through that, then we see little. We learn a language from our parents and think that it is all true. But that is not the case. It is a tool of the left hemisphere of the brain, the male mathematical side, to communicate with each other, but it is not an absolute truth, but a means. That too must be understood if one wants to think further.
So these words of mine also may raise questions: is that possible, is that correct, who is he actually? That mechanism destroys a lot. That prevents learning, but of course you are right to doubt (me). The only thing I can say is that I see it that way and it seems to be reasonably correct and I mean well. You must forgive me for describing some things incorrectly, it is also quite difficult material. I am trying to touch on some core points about ourselves and why we seem to live in a 'maze'. But beware of those who write without any self-insight, for without that it is questionable how the 'cap sits' (what is true, who, why, what is someone talking about).
There is of course much more to say, but that is not what this topic is for. For me the shape of the earth does not matter that much. There are more important things. You only live once and this time will never come again. That is why wisdom is good. To spend your time well.
