This post is basically a book report. There has been much discussion on this site about the temples and cathedrals of Europe and their original functions. Were they "healing centers"? Were they designed to stimulate psychic energy and funnel it upwards so that it might be harvested by archons? Were they butcheries? Were they power stations that extracted electricity from either the air or the ground and provided it to the surrounding communities? Were they speculative boondoggles? Were they stone books encoding esoteric knowledge? Were they indoctrination centers? Were they different things at different times? Interesting arguments have been presented for all of these hypotheses.

I am starting this thread to present another hypothesis that I have not seen discussed on this site. It is not my hypothesis, but that of Dr. Konstantin Meyl. I first read about Dr. Meyl in Joseph Farrell's The Cosmic War. The physics is over my head, but perhaps there are people here who are better equipped than I to understand the nuts and bolts of his theory. Dr. Meyl is a "real scientist" from Germany who apparently regularly lectures at universities around the world. He is one of the many people out there working in the domain of aether-based Tesla physics and engineering. He has apparently gone as far to create "scalar wave" transmitters and receivers which he offers for sale on his website as demonstration kits. Despite having read Dr. Farrell's long chapter on scalar waves, I am still not sure exactly what they are, or if they are even real. My understanding is that they are some kind of zero-point energy source. In any case that is not the subject of this post.

When looking through Dr. Meyl's website (meyl.eu), I saw that he had written a book entitled Broadcasting of the Gods in which he argues that ancient temples and cathedrals were transmitting and receiving stations for radio communication. Intrigued, I ordered a copy and read it. It would appear that Dr. Meyl translated it into English himself, which is to say that the book is occasionally poorly written and difficult to understand. However, the basic thesis is extremely logical and straightforward. I will attempt to synthesize it here in order that others might react to it.

The book is written in the spirit of a Platonic dialogue between a teacher named Lactantius and his student, the young Constantine the Great, in the year 304 AD. Lactantius, the chief radio technician of the Roman Empire, is initiating Constantine into the secret history and functioning of radio broadcasting technology.

To start off with, the "gods" for Meyl were never anything but code names for radio frequencies controlled by people, hence their immortality. The different temples of the different gods were "locked" to one frequency by virtue of their construction dimensions. All of the golden ratios and harmonic proportions that we see in temple and church architecture were not put there in some vague esoteric "as above/so below" celebration of the order inherent in the cosmos. The whole purpose of a temple was simply to resonate at a specific frequency. This resonant energy was drawn off from the telluric currents in the Earth. Meyl suggests that these currents were once much stronger, and that their degradation over time eventually led to the abandonment of the original function of the temples and churches. He offers no explanation for why this weakening may have occurred. Perhaps antiquity collapsed because the broadcast technology that held the ancient world together gradually or suddenly failed, allowing it to descend into a "radio darkness" which indeed would have shifted the balance of power in favor of local "barbarians"?

Temple priests are broadcast technicians. Technical knowledge was kept secret through compartmentalization. None of the people involved in the transmission process knew the whole picture of how the technology functioned. This knowledge was a carefully guarded secret reserved only for a very few. The individual technicians only knew how to fulfill their specific job, be it encoder, transmitter, or receiver. This would suggest an interesting twist on Freemasonry. They are not just masters of the buildings, they are also and above all masters of broadcasting technology and propaganda, since that was the real secret of the ancient temples.

Meyl suggests that the first transmitters and receivers were natural caves. He appears to adhere to the theory that the Egyptian pyramids were power stations whose secret has been lost, and the best later humans were able to come up with in their reconstruction of the old technology was radio. "It is a certainly fascinating thought when power would be portable and usable anywhere through the ether at any time, but our technicians [he means the technicians of the 4th century] have also tried hard to use this lost technology; they were not able to reactivate the concept. Today, we only work with the technical use of information of the waves to pass radio signals." (67-68)

He argues that the Babylonian towers were constructed vertically, which for some technical reason makes it impossible for multiple frequencies to be used, something that only appears once someone had struck on the idea of laying the cella out horizontally. He offers a scientific argument for this which I can only take on faith.

He suggests that cedar wood is excellent for the construction of broadcasting stations, and that Gilgamesh's journey to the cedar forest has something to do with a battle over one of Enlil's stations.

He speculates that cuneiform writing was created as a telegraphic language. The scribe receiving the telegraphic signals was unable to read what he was writing down. That was the job of a separate priest. He suggests that many of the tablets we have are transcribed radio transmissions. He ascribes some of the differences in the different versions of the Epic of Gilgamesh, for example, to unreliable scribes making errors. "Each interpreter of oracles comes up with his own interpretation during the broadcast of the encrypted text. Therefore, often several different versions exist from ancient writings." (77) Speaking of writing, he goes on to say, "the Phoenicians have perfected this technology. They even adjusted the number of their letters of their alphabet to the number of transferable rhythms." (131)

The Phoenicians "brought the broadcast technology in the various corners of our world in this way. They encountered peoples who worshiped them like aliens sometimes, but at least as gods what they also actually were, and they explained the broadcast technology and its handling." (85) Here he includes a picture of Tihuanaco. He suggests that the Indian "deities" and the Phoenician "deities" agreed to set up a joint radio relay station on Easter Island to be able to communicate across the vast Pacific Ocean.

"When the ether still was scarcely used technically at the time of ancient civilizations, around each transmitter first developed a civilization who was dependent on this technology and of the god or was kept in dependence to be exact. The size of the sphere of influence was dependent on the range of the transmitter. (...) You can also notice that at first the transmitter was always at the center of attention and not the receiver as in Greek times afterwards." (78) Here he argues that the Greeks were the first to invert the power relationship between transmitter and receiver. Before Greek times, people simply followed the voices of the gods unquestioningly, but then something happened and the gods now had to please the people. Here Meyl suggests that Socrates had somehow discovered how the whole system worked and was attempting to "introduce new gods", that is, establish new frequencies and therefore upset the political and economic order.

"The journalistic prepared, published and handed down conflicts between the gods on duty has always been about broadcasting licenses today. It was about the stipulation of broadcasting hours, transmission codes, and transmitting frequencies." (28) When a community switched gods, the old temples had to be razed and rebuilt to pick up the new frequency coming from a different center. Temple offerings were broadcasting fees. Meyl suggests that the Greek period was characterized by a free-for-all of temple-building on different islands, each island trying to crowd out the others just like radio stations today might fight for listeners. This "free market" was eventually ended by the Roman takeover and the strict control over radio frequencies and broadcasts. More generally, Meyl suggests that the movement from polytheism to monotheism can be explained by the gradual monopolization of broadcast technology. He goes into great detail about many of the temples built starting in the 6th century BC. I would like to note that this is an interesting start date, as it coincides more or less with the date suggested by Velikovsky and other Electric Universe researchers for the catastrophic near passages of Mars (7th century BC) which finally put an end to the long period of regular celestial upheavals and left behind a transformed Earth. Did Mars somehow "charge" the Earth with telluric energy that has been slowly dissipating ever since then? Is this why there are fewer earthquakes, volcanos, and comets today?

"The smaller a temple and the higher its frequency is, the less terrestrial radiation can be used as excitation power, and its transmit power is correspondingly lower." (30) The cella of a temple is its cavity resonator. This powers the transmitter. In the ancient world, choosing the location and orientation for a temple was serious business involving augurs, land surveyors, and priests; this makes sense when we realize that temples could only function if situated on tellurically active sites. The lituus used by dowsers and augurs indeed resembles an antenna.

The Greeks adopted hexameter in their telegraphic transmissions as a redundancy method. If a signal was weak or garbled and a few pieces were missing, the requirement that the missing pieces fit into a certain rhythmic pattern made it easier to fill in the blanks. Transmissions were apparently very weak and needed to be decoded by oracles, who used a number of techniques to "hear" them, including temple sleep, sitting on resonant (frequency-specific) tripods, the ringing of an iron kettle, and especially extispicy, the practice of inspecting the internal organs of a freshly sacrificed animal. Meyl's theory is that the fine, still-wet membranes of the liver or spleen were the most accurate receivers of the subtle radio vibrations sent through the ether. Here he is vague and seems to accept that radio transmissions can actually be received more or less psychically. Is this the explanation for some of the more unusual priestly or royal accoutrements such as crowns and croziers? "You need to know that the secular rulers with these receiving antennas on the head perform as they are told by the broadcast technology. The coronation is a technical measure to telepathy by which the high priest as a representative of a god makes the rulers his mindless servants." (130) In any case, Meyl's account offers a possible explanation for a phenomenon that always perplexed me, namely the simultaneous rationality and superstition of the Greeks, who regularly went to war based on nothing but the ravings of a drugged-up oracle. What if they were not raving, but rather speaking in a pseudo-gibberish code which then had to be deciphered by a different priest as a compartmentalization protocol, with the soldiers none the wiser for the trickery?

Meyl never engages with the idea of really-existing gods or divine psychic voices, but I find the idea intriguing that this reversal takes place around the same time that Julian Jaynes situates the "silencing" of the hallucinated bicameral voices and the emergence of subjectivity proper. This is also around the time that Mars and the other planets finally leave Earth alone. As the planets got further away, were they weakened and forced to "seduce" humans rather than command them before finally disappearing?

Speaking of Carnac in Brittany: "This gigantic structure was technically groundbreaking. The main problem was the power supply of the transmitter. For this purpose, the technician erected menhirs from a material that performs high frequency self-oscillations. These stones were used as energy carriers and energy storages. To ensure that no valuable energy is lost, they left the stones unhewn as far as possible. It was also easier to adapt the soft wood to the irregular shape of the granite blocks than vice versa. (...) The real enemy of this wooden temple was not the human but only lightning and fire. A pure stone construction was ruled out because of the incredible dimensions. Unfortunately, the operators of the gigantic facility had to witness how their proud building burned itself down one day." (82) He suggests "Carnac" and "Karnak" are related.

"In the course of the conquest of Gaul, [Caesar] probably learned for the first time about the structures of transmitters which were constructed of stone circles and menhirs as it were just common in northwestern Europe. Unfortunately, he could not just take and activate it by himself because there intentionally existed no record, and the Druids took care [not] to reveal the secrets. Therefore, the Romans had only the one alternative to destroy the plants." (123)

Meyl mentions Caesar as the man who set in motion the eventual conquest and unification of the broadcast frequencies in Rome. The title of "Pontifex Maximus" refers to radio bridges. Francesco Carotta has made the argument that Jesus Christ was based on Julius Caesar. The argument has also been made that Jesus is a metaphor for the sun and his apotheosis a metaphor for the final stabilization of the sun at the center of the solar system after a period of planetary upheaval. Is it possible that these two stories got mixed up? In both cases we have a "divine unification" taking place, one political, economic, and technological, the other planetary. To this can be added a few other Christs, from Fomenko's Andronicus to Michael Hudson's debt warrior to Apollonius of Tyana, and so on. I suppose that this was the "big story" of the post-cataclysmic period: the disappearance of the old gods and the appearance of a new, more centralized order in all spheres of life, from psychology to economy to technology to politics. No wonder that all these unifiers would get jumbled together over time...

Next we get a big Roman technological breakthrough. "Compared with all previous temple designs, the new temples have no fixed length, width and height of the cella anymore as an architectural feature. Round apses and domes are used now as a typical and particular characteristic. Incidentally, this distinguishes the modern Roman temple from the classical Greek telegraphic transmitter. Just look more closely at the broadcast temple at the Imperial Fora in Rome. All are equipped with this round apse, the temple at the Forum of Caesar with 9.7 MHz, the temple at the Forum of Augustus with 7.6 MHz and also the temple of Trajan with 7 MHz." (144) Here he argues that the new round and domed architecture allowed the Romans to progress from mostly telegraphic AM transmission to voice broadcasting over FM. Again the science is beyond me. He also suggests that the Sunday sabbath has its origins here. On other days, the radio transmitter was available for use by private broadcasters (in exchange for a fee and approval by the state), but on Sunday the ether was left open for official broadcasts. Was Saturday monopolized by the Jews/Phoenicians and Friday by the proto-Muslims?

"A special contribution has been made by Hadrian who has forbidden to enter Jerusalem to the Jews for all time. He wanted the FM transmitter, which was the religious center, for himself and the Romans and wanted to make sure that his stated airtimes are strictly enforced. If there is only one god in the modern FM technology, he wanted to be this sole god." (148) Meyl then speculates that Constantine went on to adopt Christian monotheism as a simple "cover" for the final centralization of the broadcast technology.

The technological development ends with the Pantheon, which Meyl describes as a transmitter for all frequencies, and the cutting edge of current technology (although he then hints at the Hagia Sophia to come). I found the following quotation amusing: "You can then find the Romans in the thermal baths and watch them how they sit or lie half the day around under the dome and listen to the radio. They go home afterwards with the necessary pride of the technical achievements of their time and tell about the many news which they have received live from their gods over the air." (156)

The final part of the book is of particular interest. I will reproduce the following quotations at length. "Aristotle has taught us that 'God is energy'. If the energy with which our radios are operated continues to decline as in the last century, we should think about measures how to encounter this development in order that no godless time befalls us one day. In this case, all efforts come down to increase the power of the transmitter further." (164) "A power source is required for the operation of the transmitters. For this purpose, natural and location-dependent resources are exploited such as the so-called places of power which are unfortunately subjected to a temporary fluctuation. To my mind, they were created a long time ago, and I think that their power is of cosmic origin. However, this energy slowly decreases as we technicians have unfortunately proved. If the observable decrease continues as before, some Technicians already predict the end of the divine broadcast technology for the year 1000 AD. (...) In my experience, the energy source will change in a wavy, temporal, spatial and not completely uniform way. Therefore, the year thousand is not yet the end in my personal assessment of the future. (...) I had a terrible dream. The people were godless or desperately searched for places where they still can feel the previously present divine power. They even quarreled about the appropriate buildings. There should be a terrible darkness, and it was dark because the electromagnetic waves also have something to do with the light. The people had no enlightenments anymore. Some might remember the ancient broadcast technology of the gods [I think he means the "new" FM transmitters] and have taken possession of the old telegraphic technology again which works still much more reliable with much less effort. Therefore, they then have also distrurbed the sensitive FM-technique so that they have been called witches because they could fly through the air with their information and master the rituals of the telegraphy. In my dream, they were hunted, imprisoned, tortured and even burned alive! (...) Far away from Rome in the far north is no reception possible because of the large distance, and a countermovement develops there to reform everything and still further increases the mischief by fire and sword. I saw the entire hold broadcast technology in flames." (178-179)

So ends the book report. I would like to add a few more things. I like this theory for a few reasons. One, it offers a very elegant explanation for multiple different mysteries that does not require us to assume too much falsification of history. It explains why so many resources were used to build these temples and churches. It explains why they had to be so big. It explains all the resonant and harmonic properties in the architecture. It explains a lot of the unusual artifacts associated with the priesthood. It explains how these ancient empires were able to maintain coordination over long distances. It explains the power of the priesthood as well as its necessarily hidden nature. It explains the centrality of the strange practice of divination. It explains why the classical world fell apart. It does not force us to throw away too much of the "official" history we have. (Meyl is apparently not a chronological revisionist, but that takes nothing away from his theories as his dates can simply be "advanced".) It explains why there are so many churches with so many towers scattered all over Europe, every few kilometers. It explains the nature of the relationship between visible power structures and invisible power structures. It would appear that the whole thing stopped working for good after some catastrophe in the proto-Renaissance. I believe this account fits well with the evidence presented by Usselo and others in IHASFEMR that churches in Britain were at one point repurposed as butcheries and charnel-houses before becoming properly Christianized. Churches and temples would have become basically useless at some point, and perfect headquarters for cannibal mafia clans and defunct evil priesthoods to squat. Is it possible that Britain, being so far north, was cut off "first" and descended into cannibalism and monstrosity in a way that did not happen to such an extent elsewhere? My recollection of that thread is that much of the evidence for cannibalism and IHASFEMR practices comes from that region, as well as from Switzerland. Perhaps all those mountains also cut them off from the civilizing radio waves...?

Did pipe organs appear later in an attempt to artificially induce the lost resonance necessary for the long-defunct cathedrals to function? Was the incredible music of JS Bach and other composers nothing but the later by-product of a technological instrument, the organ, which originally had a purely mechanical function? I am a Bach lover and believe his music has the more or less magical power to act directly on the body. A Bach concert in an old cathedral is one of the great experiences in life. Is some kind of psychic transmission facilitated by this music?

His theory also fits with the theory that we were seeded by an advanced culture that eventually disappeared or merged with our own. What I wonder is if the "gods" who broadcast their telegraphic messages and voices through the temples and churches really were divine entities, located either in the other planets, in the aether itself, or simply somewhere hidden on Earth. At what point were the gods usurped by men speaking in their name? By "Ancient Greece" things had certainly changed and humans, or perhaps semi-divine humans, had begun to take over. I bring this up because Meyl's theory appears to be impossible without some form of direct psychic influence. Perhaps magic, telepathy, etc. has become so rare these days simply because the aether has gotten so weak that it just doesn't work anymore for any but the most gifted. Another possibility, and here I am just unscientifically speculating, but is it possible that some other kind of waves are at play here, not radio waves, but something that follows a similar principle? I say this because as far as I know, radio waves cannot be picked up directly by the brain...

I lack the scientific knowledge to evaluate this theory on a deep level, but perhaps others here can add more (or blow it out of the water).

I'm really interested in learning how to create scalar waves. Please provide a link.

I have purchased (in 2021) scalar wave products from a company in Delaware, USA. You can read more about that in my post.

Brilliant post, btw. I will take some time to consider it and respond at a later date.

What is 'Tihuanaco?'

This is clearly a Nahuatl word (language of the Toltecs, Olmecs, Chichimeca and Aztec).

Hua = possessing

-co = place of (impersonal voice of the 3rd person verb To BE. Best translation in English to my knowledge 'It is' or 'That which is.' Normally used to mean 'Place' or 'Place of.'

Ti = means the essence of as in Teotihuacan Teo-ti-hua-can = teo energy; ti the essence of; hua possessing; can place

Can place hua possessing ti the essence of teo energy. Teotihua'can = place possessing the essence of energy. (Where the great pyramids of Mexico are).

So with my few years study of Nahuatl I think Tihuanaco means

Co place hua possessing ti the essence.

Place possessing the essence. Except I don't know what the extra na syllable means in this context.

Tiahuanaco (I misspelled it before) is a megalithic site in Bolivia. The most famous monument there is the (Phoenician?) Gate of the Sun. Your etymology appears to be spot-on.

I had tentatively put cuneiform down as an academic fake but that's an interesting alternative conjecture, especially in light of recent threads about signalling methods.

It explains why there are so many churches with so many towers scattered all over Europe, every few kilometers. It explains the nature of the relationship between visible power structures and invisible power structures. I haven't considered churches as technical signalling centres though I am assessing evidence that tallow electrets were cast and electrised ('charged') in church 'bells'. But there are plenty of cargo cult devices with communications potential in Mary-Anne Chota's book Secret Britain:

Working on a television show today, and when a crew member started waving the “atmospheric smoke” around, it reminded me immediately of a priest swinging around an incense brazer.

“These atmospheric effects are used for creating special effects, to make lighting and lighting effects visible, and to create a specific sense of mood or atmosphere.” -> So I’m wondering if churches used it to amp up the signal of visual transmissions.

I was reading about the Protestant reformation in Britain this morning and a few new ideas slotted into place. What struck me in the description of the liturgical changes was how much they concerned objects such as statues, altars, and priestly garb. From the Wikipedia entry on the 1552 Book of Common Prayer:

According to historian Christopher Haigh, the 1552 prayer book "broke decisively with the past". The services for baptism, confirmation, communion and burial were rewritten, and ceremonies hated by Protestants were removed. Unlike the 1549 version, the 1552 prayer book removed many traditional sacramentals and observances that reflected belief in the blessing and exorcism of people and objects. In the baptism service, infants no longer received minor exorcism. Anointing was no longer included in the services for baptism, ordination and visitation of the sick. These ceremonies were altered to emphasise the importance of faith, rather than trusting in rituals or objects. (...) Stone altars were replaced with communion tables positioned in the chancel or nave, with the priest standing on the north side. The priest was to wear the surplice instead of traditional Mass vestments. The service appears to promote a spiritual presence view of the Eucharist, meaning that Christ is spiritually but not corporally present. (...) The rubric denied "any real and essential presence … of Christ's natural flesh and blood" in the Eucharist and was the clearest statement of eucharistic theology in the prayer book. The 1552 service removed any reference to the "body of Christ" in the words of administration to reinforce the teaching that Christ's presence in the Eucharist was a spiritual presence and, in the words of historian Peter Marshall, "limited to the subjective experience of the communicant". Instead of communion wafers, the prayer book instructed that ordinary bread was to be used "to take away the superstition which any person hath, or might have".

Book of Common Prayer - Wikipedia

My first impulse is to see in such reforms the violent suppression of a still-living church, but upon reflection it would make much more sense if the Catholic church in Britain had at this point (1552) already descended into complete superstition, with formerly functional power objects having become nothing but empty talismans used by unscrupulous (criminal, homosexual, pedophile, cannibal...?) priests to dazzle and prey on the people. These changes become perfectly logical if we see the objects and rituals being removed as cargo-cult remnants of a lost time when they actually functioned. Resonant stone altars; elaborate priestly garments covered in conductive gold fiber and reminiscent of the Ephod worn by the high priest of Israel to receive messages from the Ark; stone idols of the saints that once actually spoke; perhaps even "real" wine and communion wafers that "worked" somehow. (Were all those decorative urns on the rooftops filled with some kind of ionized infused liquid that was served during the Eucharist?) Is this why Catholic churches became more and more baroque with time? Did they need more and more gilding, more and more curlicues in their "antennae", more and more elaborate priestly garments to pick up a signal that continued to weaken, until the day came when the whole thing had finally become an empty hypnotic performance? I can even imagine a smooth organic transition from a functionally necessary baroque architecture to a purely ostentatious one. I have long seen Protestantism as something cooked up by the crypto-Jews of Frankfurt and Switzerland to "make usury great again", but Meyl's theory leads me to think that the Reformation could have started as an actual organic rebellion against a church that had become decadent to cover up for the failure of the central technology at its heart. Maybe the crypto-Jews like Calvin (Cauvin, Cowan, Cohen) did not create Protestantism but simply infiltrated it and did their best to tweak it to their advantage, exactly as the crypto-Jew Cabal agent Marx infiltrated the organic workers' movement in the 1840's in order to subvert it with pseudo-Hegelian dialectical hypnosis. In high school I learned that the spark for the Reformation was the practice of selling indulgences. That always seemed like an insufficient reason to me. Maybe the real problem was simply that the indulgences stopped working...

Theologically Meyl's thesis makes sense as well, since the essence of Protestant ethics is an individual commitment to an invisible God and acceptance of an immanent, rationally-derived Kantian morality in place of a behavioral control system beamed directly into the mind/body by magic statues and magic priests who alone can hear God's voice. Faith begins to occupy a central role in the practice of religion, which is logical, since there are no more external signs of "God's" presence on Earth, leading to figures like Kant and finding their highest and most sublime expression in figures like Kierkegaard. The pipe organ stops being a tool to induce vibration in a cavity resonator and takes on the more human function of bolstering faith through uplifting music. Bach was a Lutheran and most of his music was composed to this end. Maybe Protestantism began in the North and crept South as the transmissions from Rome got weaker and weaker. This is something that could even be investigated by overlaying topographical maps with historical maps tracing the evolution of Protestantism.

Someone more knowledgeable in the religious history of Eastern Europe might be able to make similar connections with the progressive failure of the broadcast centers in Constantinople or Moscow, not to mention India, China, etc.

It is also around this time that the Shakespeare project was launched in Britain by the Protestant Elizabethan court. Francis Bacon argued for usury to be re-introduced into Britain, which is suspicious, and previously led me to assume that he was another crypto-Jewish subverter, but maybe he was simply trying to break the monopoly on usury that the Jews held in cahoots with the corrupt Church in order that a more enlightened financing might be made available to more people (Jews were given a franchise on usury in exchange for kicking a cut of the profits back to the Church). It is possible that the English language was created and spread with authentically uplifting intentions. When you read Shakespeare it is hard to see how these subtle, genius plays could be bad for people. The French philosopher Gilles Deleuze argues that Anglo-American literature is superior to French literature because the language is inherently less authoritarian and more spontaneously expressive...

It is my opinion that many of the deep cultural differences between Protestant and Catholic regions can be elegantly explained by the supposition that Latin European culture was always organized around a literal Godlike voice coming from a faraway center and relayed by men wearing fancy costumes whereas Germanic culture was, out of technological necessity, organized around a local political structure with no need for elaborate pageantry to disguise the origin of authority. The Germanic system demands greater individual responsibility and probity, and also necessitates a stronger neurosis to contain the inevitable and unacceptable selfish drives. The Latin or Papist system demands less responsibility but a greater ability to theatrically perform submission. Neurosis is not adaptive but cheating and deceit are, hence the greater ease with lying and the generally less neurotic and more perverse character of Latin Europeans. In my opinion, both systems have failed today, but for different reasons. Protestantism has degenerated into a sterile and empty "rational materialism" whereas Catholicism has degenerated into nostalgia. Yet the old churches are still not without magic...

One last piece of speculation. Meyl's thesis also offers us an elegant explanation for the Age of Discovery in Europe. After the disappearance of the worldwide broadcast system originally set up by the Phoenicians, possibly linked with the great catastrophe that ended the classical world and began the dark ages (however long they lasted), it took a devastated Europe a certain amount of time before the organization and resources could be mustered to sail to the even more devastated "New World" for a reconnaissance mission. They had lost contact with the Americas for perhaps hundreds of years, in other words long enough for the Indians to have switched back to more primitive lifestyles (which incidentally may have been more conducive to human happiness) and forgotten almost everything. Some of the tribes they deputized the first time around to control the others, such as the Natchez, retained their Phoenician religion in a degraded form, and these tribes were sought out and privileged. (The spook Chateaubriand probably chose to write about the Natchez for this reason.) See the Los Lunas stone in New Mexico, with a Greek/Hebrew inscription on it, of course circularly dismissed as fake by official archaeologists for the simple reason that it "couldn't exist".

Before the emergence of London, Venice and Amsterdam are two of the cities most associated, to my mind, with maritime and commercial dominance in the post-cataclysm period. Both are characterized by their elaborate canal systems.

Did these saltwater canals somehow serve as power amplifiers for the broadcast signals? What about St. Petersburg, the other canal city? Is this why power passed from Rome to Venice?

Scientists?

Just came across the following passage when reading about monatomic gold on the Subtle Energies website:

ORMUS and Pyramids

In personal communications Dr. Philip Callahan has suggested that the pyramid structure and certain cone topped round towers are open resonance antennas tuned to a resonance frequency of the earth. In his book, "Paramagnetism - Rediscovering Nature's Secret Force of Growth" Dr. Callahan wrote this about the stone towers of Ireland:

"I had discovered that round towers are indeed high tower ELF radio antenna paramagnetic amplifiers. More astonishing yet, I discovered the ancient Irish monks of the 5th to 9th centuries were rock antenna radio engineers.

Most round towers of Ireland are now without floors or ladders, however, I was able to visit the tower on Scattery Island where the door is at ground level. Inside I discovered that without even touching my jute-saltwater cord to the walls, that at the center there was a two- to four-time increase in the strength of the waves.

The 8-Hz and 2,000-Hz waves always came in strongest at dawn and dusk. I recorded the same ELF phenomenon in so-called megalithic tombs and even found a megalithic pictograph of a target wave on the side of the chamber at Loughcrew."

More confirmation that there is something to this theory. It looks like I need a copy of this book. If anyone has a PDF, or has read the book, contributions would be welcome.

Here is an interesting article that goes into more detail but neglects the radio communication dimension. I will update this post with a more precise summary when I have a free moment.

I found a few more interesting leads while reading The Grid of the Gods by the always excellent Joseph Farrell.

Michael Persinger is an American/Canadian psychologist who claimed to be able to induce "spiritual" experiences by altering the magnetic field around the brain using a special "God helmet". He claims that when the right hemisphere in particular is affected by an electromagnetic field, this change is perceived as a "presence". The following excerpts are from his 2009 paper, The Electromagnetic Induction of Mystical and Altered States within the Laboratory:

Screenshot_20230227_124030.jpg

So right away we have a connection between radiation and the gods.

Screenshot_20230227_124052.jpg

The oracle at Delphi, the Pythia, was always a woman.

Screenshot_20230227_124520.jpg

Interesting correspondence here. Meyl also brings up Socrates as someone who had penetrated the mysteries of radio transmission. Unfortunately, Persinger does not provide a reference for his claim about Socrates.

Screenshot_20230227_124926.jpg

Short version, a very small change in field strength is enough to induce these effects.

Screenshot_20230227_125344.jpg

"Less related to direct current induction and more related to field-to-field interactions." If I am not mistaken, these old churches and temples created precisely that, a field.

Screenshot_20230227_125532.jpg

Churches are generally oriented towards the east, hence the verb, "to orient".

Screenshot_20230227_130204.jpg

This passage appears to dovetail nicely with the observation that churches, temples, towers, etc. are generally placed on geomagnetically active sites, which they then amplify.

Screenshot_20230227_130336.jpg

My understanding is that Persinger is an old-fashioned hard-nosed materialist. He interprets his results as "debunking" mystical experiences. For him, they are nothing but imaginative interpretations of random electromagnetic field activity. But what if there is more to the story? If we articulate these results with Sheldrake's morphic field theory, which posits that our brains are essentially radio antennae that receive information from a Platonic psychic aether, things start to make more sense.

As a psychoanalyst, I would like to add that the unconscious has two faces. There is the purely neurotic unconscious, the Freudian unconscious, which is essentially a garbled artifact of atmospheric discourse. There is nothing mystical about it and it offers no potential for liberation or self-knowledge. On the contrary, it is nothing but a source of hypnosis, manipulation, and alienation. It is parasitic and the goal of psychoanalysis is to liquidate it. Jung argues that beneath this individual neurotic unconscious lies the collective unconscious, which is indeed a kind of psychic aether. The more trapped we are in the first unconscious, the less access we have to the second. The first unconscious is purely terrestrial, the second extraterrestrial. Is the neurotic Freudian unconsious a reservoir of egregores "magically" mediated through the kind of astronomically and numerologically determined black magic rituals the elite employ to create our pseudo-reality, such as 9/11 and Covid, not to mention big sporting events, the Olympics, awards shows, political rallies, and more generally, the televised news? Are these signals being transmitted on multiple levels?

This brings me to a point of confusion regarding Meyl's theory. In some places he seems to suggest that the technology functioned exactly like our modern telegraphic systems, which have no mystical component at all. In other places he explicitly suggests that these transmissions are picked up "psychically", by priests or priestesses who have entered trance states. Persinger's conclusions argue for the second case. This also explains why churches and temples are associated with gods and mystical states. This is not just a "cover" for the radio transmissions, it is an integral part of the technology. The transmissions are intimately associated with the subjective experience of a "presence".

I would like to conclude with an idea that recently occurred to me while walking through Cologne, Germany. I was impressed by the architecture of the following synagogue:

20230225_144621.jpg

Look at the huge rose window with the magnetron design. Note that there is no tower or antenna. Maybe I am being too fantastical, but I can imagine a huge beam of some kind of energy shooting out of that thing.

Only a few hundred meters from this synagogue, I noticed the following church:

20230225_145349.jpg
If the first building looks like a transmitter, the second building looks like a receiver.

I would also like to add this photograph of the rose window of the Basel Minster:

20221118_170015.jpg

That is...in your face. Was this church originally a synagogue? Incidentally, this is the same church over which the famous celestial phenomena of 1561 were recorded:

LinkSeltsame_Gestalt_so_in_disem_MDLXVI_Jar.jpg

I have always found it unusual that there is no tradition of mystical experience in Judaism (at least before the emergence of Hasidism in the 18th century). On the other hand, Christianity is heavily associated with mysticism. Is this because Christian mysticism was never anything but a necessary component of the broadcast technology? Crowns, croziers, speaking in tongues, mystical experiences: this is all Christian stuff. Were "Jews" the broadcast technicians who carefully protected themselves from any kind of influence from the radio transmissions which they knew not to be the voices of real Gods but of...themselves? Are yarmulkes, not to mention the giant fur and felt hats they occasionally wear, just cargo cult replicas of formerly functional headgear made of insulating material to block the transmissions? Were the Greek gods invented by Phoenician broadcasters? Where Christianity is fundamentally idealistic, Judaism is the religion of materialism. Christians are "dumber" than Jews inasmuch as they are so easily duped, but "wiser" than Jews inasmuch as they occasionally have access to a real, transcendental presence that is foreclosed to Jews. The high-IQ latter are the ultimate non-dupes, the unsurpassed historical masters of reality in its most material essence, but their materialism risks preventing them from really hearing God on those rare occasions when his authentic voice shines through the radio chatter. The result can only be cynicism, which always risks leading to exploitative behavior. Pure speculation here, of course.

Both the synagogue and the church in Cologne are from the late 19th century, so probably long after any clandestine radio broadcasting could have been possible. Is it possible that religious services evolved organically along with a weakening Earth grid? In other words, was there a smooth, gradual transition from precise, explicit radio broadcasts, to weaker and more general radio broadcasts which could only be captured psychically by large groups of hypnotized people congregating in specialized architecture, to empty cargo cult re-enactments of "listening to God" in architecturally indifferent boxes? Is it possible that for some time, the original structures as well as their later copies continued to function, but on a level so subtle that neither the broadcasters nor the receivers, now blindly following ancient protocols whose original intent had been forgotten, actually knew what was happening? It is perhaps also no coincidence that church architecture was finally modernized around the time that high-powered radio and then television transmissions began crowding the ether in the 20th century.

I would like to pursue a line of speculation that I hinted at in my previous post.

As always, I am throwing ideas out there in the hope that someone more knowledgeable than I might see something that I don't.

I have always wondered what the deal was with ritual head coverings. This is very serious business for many religions. Orthodox Jewish men are expected to wear some head covering at all times, from the basic yarmulke to the larger Borsalino to the full spodik or shtreimel. Even more strangely, Orthodox women shave their heads and wear wigs after marriage. One possible explanation for the shaved heads is that the Nephilim were apparently very attracted to long hair, and so keeping your hair covered was a good way to avoid getting raped by an angel back in the day.

From 1 Corinthians (Paul):

4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
8 For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.
9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

Hypothesis: Christian men are encouraged to pray and prophesy with their heads uncovered in order that they might better receive whatever transmission is being broadcast during the church service. Women are not allowed to uncover their heads because their status is essentially property. Their job is to serve and follow their husbands and fathers. Men belong to God; women belong to men. In other words, men receive the "orders" from the broadcast and then relay them to their women, just as, in the Army, officers receive messages from higher-ranking officers and then transmit them to the enlisted men. In addition, exposing their long hair might tempt someone sexually.

Just as Paul orders Christian men to pray uncovered, the Talmud commands, "Cover your head in order that the fear of heaven may be upon you." Considering that Jews do not believe in the transcendental Christian Heaven, this sounds more like a reference to the atmosphere.

While looking into this, I stumbled upon a very unusual divinatory practice in Ancient Rome. From novaroma.org:

At the traditional public rituals of ancient Rome, officiants prayed, sacrificed, offered libations, and practiced augury capite velato, "with the head covered" by a fold of the toga drawn up from the back. This covering of the head is a distinctive feature of Roman rite in contrast with Etruscan practice or ritus graecus, "Greek rite." In Roman art, the covered head is a symbol of pietas and the individual's status as a pontifex, augur or other priest.

1677842935569.png

What on Earth could be the explanation for this? We find a reference to it in the Aeneid:

Quin, ubi transmissae steterint trans aequora classes, et positis aris iam vota in litore solves, purpureo velare comas adopertus amictu, ne qua inter sanctos ignis in honore deorum hostilis facies occurrat et omina turbet.

Yea, even when thy fleet has crossed the main, and from new altars built along the shore thy vows to Heaven are paid, throw o'er thy head a purple mantle, veiling well thy brows, lest, while the sacrificial fire ascends in offering to the gods, thine eye behold some face of foe, and every omen fail.

The first thing that stands out to me is the color purple, meaning, I suppose, Tyrian purple, the Phoenician color made of the special sea snail shells that are found off the coast of Lebanon. The reason given by Virgil is to block the gaze; however, he does not say "veiling the eyes" but "veiling the brows". Looking more closely at the original Latin, we see that the word is actually neither "brow" nor "eyes" but rather comas, which means "hair of the head". It looks to me like the perplexed translator fudged "hair" to "brow" because the purpose of the gesture is to avoid perceiving a hostilis facies, and covering the hair alone does not block the gaze. But what if the hostile face was perceived psychically through the hair and not visually through the eyes, which are nowhere even mentioned in the Latin original? A quick check in a few online Latin dictionaries indeed confirms that facies can also mean "presence" or "appearance".

Andrey Sklyarov advances the hypothesis that the "gods", whatever they are, somehow feed on the vital energy released during ritual sacrifice, and in particular on the smoke. He also suggests that invoking the gods by name is necessary to direct the energy to them. Are the sailors of the Aeneid here covering their hair to avoid accidentally transmitting the sacrificial energy to the wrong "god", kind of like Ray accidentally summoning the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man just by thinking his name in Ghostbusters?

(Writing this, it occurs to me for the first time that the practice of kosher/halal ritual slaughter is not to "purify the meat" for the person eating it, but to make sure the proper demon receives the sacrificial energy.)

Big speculation here. Humans are the only creatures with hair only on their heads and no one has a good explanation for this. Did hair once play some role in receiving transmissions from a more-active electromagnetic field? Were monks in cultures around the world expected to shave their heads in order that they might lose access to the morphic/etheric/Akashic signature of their "selves" during their initiation/brainwashing, exactly as Army recruits are shaved today? On a personal level, I associate hats with collective identities. Sports teams, armies, religions, all are distinguished by head coverings that mark the wearer as part of an organization. Until maybe the 1960's men in Europe and the United States were expected to wear hats outside as an expression of their submission to the dominant social order. Putting the pieces together: hats must be worn outside to prevent the man from receiving the unique frequency of his personal identity (or of other competing frequencies), but inside the church, where the artificial hypnotic signal is stronger than the natural signal, hats must on the contrary be removed in order that the weekly brainwash might be received as clearly as possible.

Perhaps the practice of veiling women is a compromise formation. On the one hand, men find long hair attractive, so they don't want women to shave their heads. On the other hand, the long hair makes women "more psychic", so in order for men to maintain their power over women, the hair must be covered at all times.

Orthodox Jews dedicate their lives entirely to Yahweh. The level of renunciation expected of them is so great that they are even deprived of the individual pleasure of seeing their wives' hair in private. What better way to learn to manipulate the minds of others than by radically cutting oneself off from any form of direct spiritual contact with one's individual etheric signal? I would argue that the 613 mindless mitzvot Orthodox Jews are expected to follow have the precise function of killing their souls and transforming them into programmable zombis. Here we might bring in Andrey Sklyarov's theory that the tefillin worn by Orthodox Jews during prayer were originally functional communication devices. In other words, portable churches.

1677847096734.png

Were these cats once getting their signal straight from Saturn thanks to the nifty black cube strapped to their head? Did they then send out marching orders via the temple system? Were Jews/Phoenicians the "generals" receiving orders from the "Commander in Chief" (Saturn/Yahweh), who then passed them on to the "colonels" (Roman pontifexes/Catholic cardinals and bishops), who then sent them to the "lieutenants" (parish priests), who then transmitted them to the "sergeants" (men), who then verbally communicated them to the "privates" (women)?

Sklyarov notes that Yamabushi monks in Japan wear something similar. What was originally in those boxes?

1677847229702.png

Question: if hair must be "combated" among Orthodox Jews, why are beards allowed? Is it because beards, facing downwards, pick up signals emanating from the Earth, whereas head hair picks up signals emanating from "heaven"? Is beard hair coarser than head hair to pick up coarser frequencies? Or are beards simply a token consolation afforded to men who have already proven their complete submission to the demon Yahweh? Historically, men in the French Foreign Legion are the only soldiers who have the right to wear a beard in France. The reason for this is that legionnaires were always sent to charge enemy lines first, in other words, they were walking dead already, with no hope of survival, so they were allowed to at least enjoy their lives a little in the short time they had left...

And what about male pattern baldness? Is this some cruel genetic program inserted into the male genome by our creators in order to prevent men from growing "too powerful" as they get older? Are beards also there for the same reason?

Back to the practice of capite velato. Was there something in that Tyrian purple dye that affected reception? Did the Roman priests specifically block the backs of their heads in order to filter out radio noise and better receive the specific transmission emanating from the tripod they faced during the ritual and from which the faint signal emanated? This would appear to conform to Meyl's hypothesis that as the temples multiplied across the ancient world, the aether became more crowded and signals harder to discern. In other words, the earlier Etruscans (Phoenicians) didn't have to go to the trouble of blocking out foreign transmissions because there weren't any yet.

A little add-on regarding the Bread of the Lord and a possible historical connection with the radio hypothesis. Laurence Gardner suggests that the original "manna" was an alchemical white powder extracted from gold by the high priests on Mount Horeb that made the brain superconductive. David Hudson, an Arizona dirt farmer, claims to have accidentally rediscovered this alchemical substance, which he named ORMUS. The Body of Christ consumed in the Eucharist would therefore be a cargo-cult re-enactment of the ingestion of this ritual substance that primed the brain to receive the broadcast from "God". Is this what was originally inside the tefillin?

This is all basically pure speculation. I would like to add as well that everything we see today, following Meyl's original hypothesis, would be a cargo cult imitation of a technology that stopped functioning a long time ago, so deformations and inconsistencies are to be expected.

As Observer wrote in a comment which has since been moved to its own thread here:

The DeepMeditationTherapy Molecule (EndogenouslyProducedEntheogenRealityFrequencyTuner)

Here, I'll put the TLDR summary at the top: I think the ancient Phoenicians (supposedly my ancestors, since I'm a Levite) used to use massive amounts of heated Cannabis oil to tune-in to the natural good universal info frequency themselves, but since their hearts were already somehow corrupted (due to DNA problems, or cultural problems, or a combination) their info-collecting trips didn't produce good fruit, and thus the first thing they proclaimed was "only Levites can touch Cannabis" and subsequently these Phoenicians continued further into their egotistical subjugation of all other humans worldwide as "slaves" forever, & these crazies may have also received transmissions from evil beings, and may also have started their own broadcasts. And now we look at various architecture/devices and wonder whether they could receive/transmit, & what frequencies.

One question which the honorable FrostyChud's lovely "book report" is discussing is: is there a frequency to tune-in to.
A second question is: are there multiple frequencies, i.e. good universal reality info vs. corrupt-beings' broadcast overlay.
A third question is: if there are corrupt-beings doing broadcasting, did a Yahweh/Saturn broadcaster exist, & does it still,
or was it always (from ancient times and continuing now) simply the Phoenician corrupt-beings (as a Levi, I can say that).
A fourth question is: if a good universal reality info frequency exists, did we humans used to be able to tune-in naturally.
A fifth question is: did changes inside our concave earth, or in our DNA programming, cause us to lose reception ability.
A sixth question is: how can we block "Yahweh and/or Phoenician" broadcasts and how can we tune-in to the good one.
A seventh question, what kind of architecture/devices can we make now which will allow us to tune-in to the good one.
And finally, since FrostyChud mentioned manna, does a white powder exist which allows us to tune-in to the good one.

I find this to be an excellent summary of some of the questions raised so far. Let me add that I find that there is a certain poetic resonance in the fact that three (?) thousand years ago, Moses trans-substantiated the Golden Calf into a white powder which the Levites then gave to the refractory Hebrews to consume in order to raise their psychic potential, and here we have a latter-day Levite continuing the legacy.

After my last post, I began wondering how exactly the brain might pick up the signals piggybacked onto the radio carrier wave. My understanding of the basic mechanics of radio broadcasting is the following. In amplitude modulation (AM) broadcasts, a voice signal of varying amplitude is overlaid onto a carrier wave of regular frequency. In frequency modulation (FM), the two roles are reversed. In each case, the resulting wave has two components which must be separated on the receiving end in order for the voice to be extracted. This function is performed by what is called an “envelope detector” or demodulator. This is a simple circuit or diode.

So logically there would need to be a demodulator somewhere for Meyl’s thesis to work. There are at least two possibilities here. First, some of the priestly accouterments, such as the Ephod of the Levites and its later variants using gold fibers, may have functioned as demodulators.

1678490229166.png

1678490248016.png

The second possibility is the one that I would like to pursue today. In the following research paper on transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), I ran across the following passage: https://scholarscompass.vcu.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=8215&context=etd

1678490304118.png

Let me be clear. I do not understand everything in this highly technical paper, nor have I even read it all. I invite others who are experts in this field to debunk my hypothesis. What it appears to be suggesting, however, is that the neuron membrane is already a demodulator. This would mean that all anyone would need to “hear” a radio signal is a means of sneaking it past this natural barrier:

1678490359769.png

What follows will be literal tinfoil hat speculation.

It so happens that the earliest recorded surgical procedure in history involves…drilling a hole in the skull. More precisely, a circular piece of the skull is cut out. This procedure is known as trepanning. People have been doing it for ten thousand years. More than a decade ago I somehow ended up down the trepanation rabbit hole and found myself reading through the comments on a forum for enthusiasts. Apparently the surgery is so easy that it can be done by yourself at home (!) with no anesthesia. There was even a guy on the forum who would come to your house with a hand bore and trepan you. He had done it to a few people on the forum already and they all gushed about how great they felt now that they had holes in their skulls. Unfortunately this forum now appears to have disappeared.

From Trepanning - The Art and Popular Culture Encyclopedia:

Michell quotes a book called Bore Hole written by Joey Mellen. At the time the passage below was written, Joey and his partner, Amanda Feilding, had made two previous attempts at trepanning Mellen. The second attempt ended up placing Mellen in the hospital, where he was reprimanded severely and sent for psychiatric evaluation. After he returned home, Mellen decided to try again. He describes his third attempt at self-trepanation:

"After some time there was an ominous sounding schlurp and the sound of bubbling. I drew the trepan out and the gurgling continued. It sounded like air bubbles running under the skull as they were pressed out. I looked at the trepan and there was a bit of bone in it. At last!"

First, let’s take a look at the Wikipedia article on trepanation and isolate a few highlights.

Trepanning - Wikipedia

Trepanation dates back to 7,000–10,000 years ago, and it is perhaps the oldest surgical procedure for which there is archaeological evidence, and in some areas may have been quite widespread. The main pieces of archaeological evidence are in the forms of cave paintings and human remains. At one burial site in France dated to 6500 BCE, 40 out of 120 prehistoric skulls found had trepanation holes. At the time only around 40% of people survived the procedure. More than 1,500 trephined skulls from the Neolithic period (representing 5–10% of all Stone Age skulls) have been uncovered throughout the world – from Europe, Siberia, China and the Americas. Most of the trephined crania belong to adult males, but women and children are also represented.

What the hell is going on here? Five to ten percent of the stone age skulls we have found have holes bored in them? This was not some fringe practice, this was worldwide and common!

1678490430820.png

1678490450504.png

Why did they do it?

After the retrieval of some skulls from the Neolithic era that showed signs of trepanation, in the XIX century, the false belief that these holes were drilled for the treatment of headaches or other neurological disorders started spreading.

Translation: no one knows why.

In ancient times, holes were drilled into a person who was behaving in what was considered an abnormal way to let out what people believed were evil spirits.

Let’s step back and try to imagine the genesis of this practice from an academic, gradualist, evolutionist approach. Some original shaman ten thousand years ago suggests drilling a hole in the skull of a demon-possessed or schizophrenic tribesman to let the evil spirits out. The tribe agrees to let him do it. He picks up his stone tools:

1678490515238.png

...hacks a chunk out of the man’s skull, exposing the brain, then folds the flap of skin back over the hole. The patient survives and reports that he is feeling much better. Soon everyone is lining up for their nifty trepanations despite the fact that the surgery will probably kill them. (The figure of 40% was established by archaeologists by observing if bone regrowth had occurred after the surgery or not.) This happens independently in locations all around the world and continues for thousands of years.

How do these people take themselves seriously?

I would like to suggest an alternate hypothesis, based on Andrey Sklyarov’s method of interpreting all such mysterious practices as cargo-cult remnants of once-functional techniques. What if the holes were originally drilled in order to implant radio receivers in the heads of the priest class? This would explain why most of the trepanned skulls we have belong to men. (Alternate hypothesis: the trepanned skulls belonged on the contrary to those individuals who were most refractory to authority.) It would explain why people “consented” to an operation with at best a forty percent survival rate (=they had no choice). Were they castrated along with it? It would explain why later, after the collapse of the ancient world and the disappearance of the trepanner “gods”, the practice degenerated into superstition. The shamans now superstitiously bush-trepanning and circumcising each other had forgotten, or perhaps had never even known, that the procedure once involved implanting a receiver. All that remained was the idea that there was some connection between trepanning and communication with voices. And perhaps the hole in the skull indeed facilitates communication with “spirits” even without the implant, thanks purely to the absence of bone.

Among New World societies, trepanning is most commonly found in the Andean civilizations, such as pre-Incan cultures.

In other words, precisely the people that were building megalithic structures like Puma Punkhu. My guess is that they were remote-controlled.

Hieronymous Bosch painted a trepanation in 1494. The painting is called Cutting the Stone.

1678490538722.png

Note that the doctor is wearing a metallic funnel hat, presumably to better channel the radio signal. Next to him, a tonsured monk watches with approval (more on the tonsure later). Next to the monk, a woman with a book on her head watches. Wikipedia suggests that the book represents a tefillin, which I discussed in a previous post. The inscription reads, “Master, cut the stone out, fast / My name is Lubbert Das”, with Lubbert Das being a legendary Flemish fool. Question: is an imaginary “stone of madness” being removed, or is it just being changed? Was the original implant botched? Or are we already in the post-implant cargo cult period in which trepanation had degenerated into pure superstition? Is Bosch mocking these freaks?

Speaking of tefillin, they are about the same size as the trepanation holes. Were the black boxes worn by Orthodox Jews and Japanese Yamabushi monks once placed directly over the holes to receive the signal more clearly? Were there diodes inside?

This brings us back to the role of the demodulator. There are at least two possibilities here. First of all, any civilization advanced enough to build precision megalithic structures and perform neurosurgery is probably advanced enough to possess basic knowledge of electronic circuitry. However, perhaps a diode demodulator is not even required. If the brain itself is already a natural demodulator, it would only be necessary to implant a chunk of metal, or perhaps a magnet (?), in the proper place in the brain for the trepanned subject to begin receiving signals.

And indeed we have evidence that all it takes is a piece of metal jammed anywhere in the head to pick up signals. Here is an article about a Vietnam veteran who began hearing radio broadcasts via shrapnel in his head: https://ajp.psychiatryonline.org/doi/10.1176/ajp.138.9.1263b

It happened to Lucille Ball too: Did Lucille Ball's Fillings Help Capture Japanese Spies?

"One night I came into the Valley over Coldwater Canyon, and I heard music. I reached down to turn the radio off, and it wasn't on. The music kept getting louder and louder, and then I realized it was coming from my mouth. I even recognized the tune. My mouth was humming and thumping with the drumbeat, and I thought I was losing my mind. I thought, What the hell is this? Then it started to subside. I got home and went to bed, not sure if I should tell anybody what had happened because they would think I was crazy."

When she supposedly recounted the story to actor Buster Keaton at the studio the next day, he laughingly told her that she was picking up radio broadcasts through her fillings, and that the same thing had happened to a friend of his. Nothing more happened for about a week, until the evening Lucy took a different route home from MGM:

"All of a sudden, my mouth started jumping. It wasn't music this time, it was Morse code. It started softly, and then de-de-de-de-de-de. As soon as it started fading, I stopped the car and then started backing up until it was coming in full strength. DE-DE-DE-DE-DE-DE DE-DE-DE-DE! I tell you, I got the hell out of there real quick. The next day I told the MGM Security Office about it, and they called the FBI or something, and sure enough, they found an underground Japanese radio station. It was somebody's gardener, but sure enough, they were spies."

This story might be completely fake, of course.

In Hitler was a British Agent, the spy Greg Hallett claims that Hitler was fitted by the Tavistock Institute with a special dental implant that allowed MI6 to broadcast voices into his head, to wit the episode from Mein Kampf in which a divine voice instructs him to get up and run out of a trench moments before a bomb hits it.

I hesitate to mention it because the topic is a proven thread-derailer, but it does not seem illogical to speculate that the graphene-filled covid “vaccines” are nothing but the 21st century version of trepanation. When the vaccines were first being rolled out I bought a small neodymium magnet that I used to test the “conspiracy theory” that people became magnetic at the injection site. I tried it on maybe nine people and the magnet stuck to at least five of them, including my father, always right on the injection site. In every “successful” case the test subject stared dumbfounded at the magnet, blinked, and for a shocked split second realized that something was terribly wrong. Five minutes later, however, everything was inevitably back to normal and I was once again a paranoid conspiracy theorist with an overactive imagination. (In every unsuccessful case I was treated to gloating and condescension.)

We have a possible connection here as well with the alchemical white powder of Moses and the Egyptian pharaohs which Laurence Gardner, in Lost Secrets of the Sacred Ark, suggests was a superconductive metal in a monatomic state. Superconductors create something called a Meissner Field, which repels magnetic fields. This would seem to imply that the monatomic “philosopher’s stone” would deactivate radio broadcasts rather than enable them. See the following thread (originally a series of comments on this thread) in which the topic of alchemical substances is discussed more deeply: The DeepMeditationTherapy Molecule (EndogenouslyProducedEntheogenRealityFrequencyTuner)

I adhere globally to the theory that the “elite” have been trying, for thousands of years now, to recreate a global slave state. Having lost either the original technology, the original power source, or both, they are forced to do the best they can with “dirtier” tech. I believe that absolute mind-control has always been their endgame and number one priority. Whoever “they” are, they want our psychic energy. Following Julian Jaynes, I believe that until the end of the Bronze Age, humans were constantly hallucinating. Whereas he posits that this was the natural state of humanity, I suspect that these hallucinations were imposed and guided from the beginning. I suspect that ritual sacrifice, religion, ideology, government, technology, school, television, drugs, even architecture must all be understood as desperate attempts on the part of the heirs of the original elite to put the genie of individual subjectivity back in the bottle and trauma-transform humanity into the erstwhile zombie race whose absolute servility and antlike coordination can be deduced most clearly from the archaeological discoveries in the Harappa Valley.

In my thread on psychoanalysis, I explore this idea more deeply from the psychological, rather than the technological side: Stolen History and Psychoanalysis

At this point I experienced an unusual synchronicity. While thinking about a possible connection between crowns, hats, hair, radio reception, and the bizarre monastic practice of partial head-shaving (tonsure), I fortuitously stumbled across the website of someone who calls himself the “Fighting Monarch”. He claims to have been subjected to MKULTRA style abuse at the hands of intelligence agencies since childhood. He claims to suffer daily from “microwave harassment” due to the implants put in his head by the CIA. He lost custody of his teenage daughter due to his paranoia. He lives with his mother. This is a delicate subject and again, I do not wish to derail my own thread, but there are connections here that warrant followup. I used to work in a psychiatric hospital with schizophrenic patients, and The Fighting Monarch’s profile indeed corresponds in many particulars to classic paranoid psychosis. However, this does not necessarily mean that he is not telling the truth. The kind of harassment, mind-control, and gangstalking he describes are real: I know very sane people who have experienced them. I have also met many indisputably delusional psychotics who complain about voices harassing them, most of whom lived with their mothers. Either way, the psychological condition of the Monarch in no way invalidates any of the verifiable research he presents on his website. Personally, I am inclined to believe his claims. I intend to write a post going into more detail about the nature of paranoia on my other thread.

Psychological considerations aside, I was thrilled to encounter his theory that the practice of tonsure has its origin in the shaving of the head that precedes brain surgery. This makes very good sense. Was the tonsure maintained to display the scar that marked monks as having been “initiated”?

The Fighting Monarch has a series of posts in which he elaborates his theory that the surgical implantation of mind-control devices has been going on since Ancient Egypt. He even makes a connection with obelisks and church spires. He is light on hard proof and heavy on circumstantial evidence and speculation, but at no point does he contradict himself or say anything clearly impossible. He has a lot of interesting ideas, for example that classical composers were all basically copying out mathematically generated music that was beamed to them via ocular implants. In defense of this hypothesis there is the very unusual circumstance that both Bach and Handel went blind after being operated on by the same eye surgeon. Both died as a result of their surgery. The surgeon, John Taylor, is a very spooky character, and probably deserves his own thread: John Taylor (oculist) - Wikipedia

The Monarch suggests that the greatness of Beethoven (1770-1827) lies in the fact that he “fought back” against the “AI” and found a way to speak with his own musical voice. (This might also offer us a possible timeline for the weakening of the old Earth field that “carried” Beethoven’s parasitic signal: precisely around 1800, which is when Beethoven abandoned his somewhat boring Haydnesque first period and entered his “heroic” second period, marked by a greater degree of freedom and subjectivity in his compositions. Incidentally, this is also around when Hegel (1770-1831) situates the “End of History”.) The Monarch suggests that lightning rods as well as all of the “antiquitech” we see on rooftops are not there to harvest free energy, but to pick up mind-control broadcasts, which dovetails with much of what I have speculated here. After all, that is what the “new” antennae are for, so why not (some of) the old ones too?

1678490621507.png

Old antenna next to new antenna, Basel, Switzerland.

He suggests that Akhenaton’s bizarre appearance was due to a glandular condition caused by botched implant surgery. He also suggests that the precarious psychological state of Julius Caesar can be attributed to similar causes. He remarks that Caesar expended a huge amount of resources bringing obelisks from Egypt to Rome, which would appear to agree with Meyl’s original hypothesis. He suggests that Mohammed was drugged, hypnotized, raped, implanted, and subjected to remote mind control. He suggests that Tesla was mind-controlled (through the Eiffel Tower) and used as a throwaway puppet to introduce a large quantity of previously concealed technological knowledge (in order, perhaps, to advance humanity to the next stage in its long-scripted alchemical transformation). This would seem to fit with Tesla’s own “oracular” description of his inventing process as well as with his later descent into psychosis and destitution. In other words, the Fighting Monarch argues that MKULTRA has existed forever in some form and is the skeleton key that allows us to unlock many of the mysteries that concern us here. Without necessarily adhering to all of his theories, I believe they warrant serious consideration. Here are links to a few of his more relevant articles:

Patents for Mind Control Technology

I would like to highlight the last article in particular, as he presents a list of patents that you can check yourself, going back a long time, concerning radio-to-brain broadcast technology and its inevitable military applications. These documents are shocking to read and the soul naturally recoils in the face of something so evil, but it all appears to be very real. They have known how to screw with our brains from a distance for a long time. It’s a miracle we still have any volition at all. Again, from a purely logical point of view, the hypothesis makes sense. All we have to do is look around us to see evidence that we are ruled by an “elite” which appears to be singularly dedicated to destroying our minds and transforming humanity into some kind of soulless robot race. Why should things ever have been any different? Given all the evidence that has been unearthed here about ancient technology, why shouldn’t that technology have been used to the same ends in the past as in the present, with the same demonic ruthlessness? In psychoanalysis, it is a rule that the patient will always attempt to substitute a “happy” past for the real past, which is always much uglier than he originally suspects, the true horror of which he can only approach slowly and with the assistance of someone who constantly refuses his attempts to flee into a beautiful fantasy. But the only way to get better is by facing how bad it really was.

I would like to conclude this post by returning to the original subject, which is churches and temples. Usselo speculates about the role of church bells in the IHASFEMR thread here: Evidence humans were created and traded as slaves, food, entertainment and material resources (IHASFEMR):

What were 'bells' before they were sugar-coated into tinkly tonkly musical instruments? Why are there so many accounts of monks hiding bells underground and of enraged villagers hating them, throwing them down wells?

How do the many accounts of 'peasant' rage with ecclesiasts tie in with the many, many records of English churches being dilapidated by around 1830? (See individual church's repair histories online and the Victoria County History collections).

I haven't untangled it all but the options seem to be:

1. Because peasants are ignorant, irreligious, pagan thugs.
2. Because bells = 'curfew bells' = slavery (seemingly that is white slavery in this English context, though 'moors' move in and out of the picture too)
3. Because - in some way - bells were part of church electrical appliances per Victor Mamzerev's series starting at По мотивам «И была Страна до России» (Russian), (English translation)
4. Because bells are re-branded mortars, as in mortar and pestle, not as in the alleged weaponry that was clearly unusable for military purposes. Why would church mortars enrage villagers? Why would they be particularly upsetting for newly-weds? Why do sacrifice stories contain a meme about 'give up the first born'? Why Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire? What is Hertford famous for? Why does controversy follow discussion of certain Hertfordshire towns' histories?
5. Other (please feel free to add)

I will here suggest that bells may have had some connection with hypnosis (as programmed hypnotic triggers) or even with some kind of frequency broadcast that went straight to the brain. In this thread, Usselo suggests another possibility:

I haven't considered churches as technical signalling centres though I am assessing evidence that tallow electrets were cast and electrised ('charged') in church 'bells'.

When you google “electret”, the first thing you see are simple electret microphones for sale. Electrets are the “opposite” of magnets in that they hold a permanently polarized electric charge, rather than a magnetic one. For a fascinating discussion of electrets, go here: SH Archive - The missing link to ancient power Perhaps these electrets were used for the same purpose in the past as they are in the present, namely powering microphones? Were electrets cast in bells the modulators that are necessary to impose a signal wave onto a carrier wave on the broadcast side of the transmission? Was it a simple matter of setting up an electret in the proper resonant location in a church or temple and speaking into it, thus “piggybacking” the voice transmission onto the carrier wave broadcast by the resonance of the architecturally tuned cavity?

For a possible example of this phenomenon, see the following post dedicated to the Nevyansky Tower in Russia and its mysterious "acoustic room": Cracks in history: Leaning Tower of Nevyansk

And if any of this sounds too bizarre to be possible, ask yourself: is there ANY universe in which it makes sense that 5-10 percent of stone age skulls have holes drilled in them?

This is a brilliant thread, it's sparked off a billion ideas for me (I'm not exaggerating!)

I've bought four of Dr Meyl's books and intend reading them carefully before posting anything. I also have some points of detail I'd like to add in response to some of the points you've raised, but I don't yet want to start nitpicking. I've been thinking about these ideas a lot, and I have come up with one simple hypothesis -

What we now call imagination was visible to everyone in the past.

Medieval peasants were so simple and naive, you could see what they were thinking. You could literally see through everyone.

Faeries, elves and pixies were real to everyone because they exist in the imagination.

We have been taught not to see this any more by the introduction of modern materialism. And before that as well.

I've had plenty of experiences with close friends where our imaginations have opened up to each other temporarily. Imagine a world were it was like that all the time!

Our society is ultimately controlled via the control of our imaginations.

Reading about the trepanning and MKUltra stuff reminded me of and made me compelled to share this very real document by DARPA on brain implants, archived from a US military site:

I have found some more evidence for the radio hypothesis. In my last post I speculated about trepanning and other procedures to transform certain people into walking radio receivers. Today I would like to speculate about a few artifacts that cast light on the possible Phoenician presence in the New World as well as the role of sacrificial altars in the global communication system.

The first thing I want to bring up is the Fuente Magna bowl:

1679096515838.png

This bowl was supposedly found by a peasant near Lake Titicaca. On the outside of the bowl is Inca writing, on the inside, proto-cuneiform. Of course, this object is considered a forgery by official archaeology. Here is an article attempting to debunk the find: The Fuente Magna Bowl: Not Cuneiform and not Sumerian - Archaeology Review

The debunker’s argument is that this is not real cuneiform, but a crude imitation of cuneiform made by someone who does not understand its internal logic. He claims that the translations offered for the cuneiform are invented. The debunker is arrogant. His argument appears to be based on the premise that cuneiform was always everywhere the same. This strikes me as impossible. Cuneiform was supposedly used for thousands of years, in multiple different regions, for multiple different spoken languages, by barely literate people. Of course it is going to exhibit a huge degree of variation across samples. In any case, the translator claims that it is a perfectly recognizable cuneiform variant from North Africa.

What interests me is the translation (by Clyde Winters):

1679096649503.png

“Use this talisman to sprout, oh diviner, the unique advice at the temple.”

1679096712051.png
1679096766692.png

So, we have a place of phenomenal power and an object with which to capture that power. The process involves priestesses and mystery liquids. It looks to me like we have a radio receiving station and a magic bowl with which to capture the signal of the “goddess”.

This is an area in which trepanned skulls have been found.

There are a lot of videos floating around in which you can see the different cymatic patterns that appear in sand or liquid when hit with a specific wavelength frequency:

1679096902867.png

Was this bowl placed on a resonant stone altar and filled with liquid? Did a priestess or trepanned priest with a conductive box placed over the hole in his skull stare at the surface of the liquid and attempt to correlate the vague psychic impression of a divine presence (Persinger) with the slight cymatic disturbances on the surface of the water?

1679097013475.png

This is a medieval magician named Psellus describing how you can get water in a bowl to speak (cited by Charles A. Ward). However, considering that the interior of the Magna Fuente bowl is covered with inscriptions that would make it difficult to distinguish surface ripples, it would make more sense if the liquid were an opaque one, like mercury or blood. Of course, we know that altars were traditionally sprinkled with blood to receive divinations. We know that the High Priest would “sprinkle” blood on the “mercy seat” of the Ark to receive messages from God.

The Old Testament is very clear about blood being where life is located. For this reason, the Hebrews are not allowed to consume it. Was blood considered the “home” of life because blood is a very special ferrofluid whose iron content allows it to receive signals from the aether?

We have several different theories here. Konstantin Meyl thinks sacrifice was performed because the wet organ membranes of a freshly killed animal were the most sensitive surface upon which vibrations could be detected. Andrey Sklyarov suggests that some “energy” is released upon sacrifice that feeds the god and opens up a channel of communication. Gunnar Heinsohn thinks sacrifice was nothing but a cathartic ritual to discharge trauma. What if the bowl full of blood placed on the resonant altar simply functioned like the membrane of a speaker? Was a magnet placed somewhere in the bowl? Did the blood actually speak? Is this why it was considered alive? Was fresh blood necessary because it still carried the magnetic charge necessary to respond to the electrical field emanating from the altar, itself located on a telluric current? Is blood the “living antenna” that is kept charged and polarized through breath?

Hebrews 12:24 reads:

…to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

So the Bible mentions speaking blood. “Sprinkling” is the same verb that is used to describe what is done with the Ark. Was the blood sprinkled, or poured?

By the way, we have another Bible verse suggesting radio transmission. Ephesians 2:2 reads:

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience…

So the people controlling the broadcasts in Biblical times were the “children of disobedience”? LIke the Baal worshippers? From Canaan? Here I would like to switch gears a little bit and speculate about a different element of the radio technology, namely language. In a post at my other thread I speculate about the nature of the relationship between the phonetic alphabet and the unconscious. Here is what I wrote there.
Post in thread 'Stolen History and Psychoanalysis' Stolen History and Psychoanalysis

The official story of the origin of writing is as follows. Mankind made little drawings of cows and animals to simplify accounting transactions. These little drawings became more abstract until they became cuneiform and hieroglyphics. These are NOT letters. They are symbols with no relationship to speech. (...)

Julian Jaynes:

1679097267419.png

At some point letters appeared – Phoenician letters. This is a radical departure from symbolic writing systems. Letters have no symbolic or imaginary resonance. They are just sounds. (...) I am currently playing with the idea that the Phoenician alphabet was originally created as a simple telegraphic code. The alphabet emerged after the Bronze Age Collapse, which might indicate that telegraphy began here, perhaps replacing an earlier, more direct, possibly even “psychic” form of broadcasting. This would also provide us with a possible explanation for the origin of gematria. This practice does not reveal the “divine architecture” of language as suggested by (in my opinion completely delusional) texts like the medieval Sefer Yetzirah. On the contrary, what if it is just a built-in redundancy in the code to guarantee faithful transmission? After all, if the radio receiver knows that the message is supposed to add up to a certain sum, he can fill in the missing letters in the case of a weak signal. I suspect it was only much later that this simple and logical technique was cargo-culted into the mystical mumbo-jumbo practiced by Kabbalists today.

So, pursuing my hypothesis, humanity (or more precisely, the priest class of humanity) was first given a geometrical, symbolic, resonant writing system (hieroglyphics). I suspect that this language had a collectivizing function that ensured social harmony at the expense of individual liberty.

Jan Assmann:
1679097505265.png

At some point, the use of a specific technology necessary for the management of the empire (radio broadcasting) leads to the creation of a simplified writing code system based on a small number of phonetic letters. This signifying system begins to develop a life of its own, infecting the minds of those who practice it, displacing hieroglyphics and creating a “new mind”, the Phoenician mind, a mind that is instrumental, exploitative, logical, cunning, non-resonant, and in many ways more free. Perhaps this language cuts off the individual from the swarm, the hive, the collective. Here we return to Jaynes and his theory that everyone was hallucinating and hearing voices until around the Bronze Age Collapse, or more precisely a few hundred
years later. Jaynes explicitly suggests writing and trade were the factors leading to the breakdown of the bicameral mind. Here I would like to make a suggestion that is perhaps too simplistic, and I invite linguists to correct me. The Greek verb “to speak” is phonein, giving us words like telephone, etc. Is this where the Phoenicians got their name? Were they simply the talkers, the radio technicians, the ones who used a phonetic language? Were they not a race but a class of people whose minds had been transformed by the contact with letters? Is this why the Phoenicians were able to dominate commerce and shipping? Did their telegraphic code inadvertently give them a monopoly on subjectivity and its attendant advantages, logic (and hypnosis through pseudologic), not to mention the ability to conceptually subdivide and manipulate time and space, at a time when most other people were plugged into a collective mind dominated by dreamlike, eternal-present geometric thinking? Were the Phoenicians the first “atheists” by virtue of their alphabet? Were the gods themselves powerless over the Phoenicians, since they had no foothold in their brain? Were they the “children of disobedience”?

In the other post I focus more on the consequences that such a language might have on subjectivity and the unconscious, but here I would like to take it in a different direction and speculate on the Phoenicians and their radio technology. Meyl believes that they were responsible for Tiahuanaco and Easter Island. In his book he focuses almost exclusively on Greece and Rome, but perhaps we can combine some of our research here with his ideas. Miles Mathis believes that the Phoenician Navy has ruled the world forever and suggests that they do so by hiding behind front empires, from Egypt to Persia to Rome to the British Empire. The Dutch and British East India Companies would be a more recent example of their modus operandi. At the following thread here you can find a lot of interesting information that suggests the same thing. SH Archive - The Phoenicians Once Ruled the World. They still do today!

Were the radio operators for Egypt, Greece and Rome Phoenicians? Meyl gives the example (in passing) of a Phoenician advisor to one of the Roman emperors. If we accept that the Phoenicians had not one but two unique technologies (radio transmission and a phonetic alphabet), we can see how and why they dominated trade in the ancient world. Scholars puzzle over the Egyptian concept of the soul with its multiple aspects, chief among them the ka and the ba. Everyone seems to have a different interpretation of what exactly the ka and the ba are.

Here is the ka. It is sometimes translated as the “double”:

1679097621912.png

1679097640867.png
Those look like antennae to me.

And here is the ba:

1679097710988.png

1679097760642.png

Is the ba the voice that “magically” flies between the ka antennae?

1679097806841.png

According to Wikipedia, statues like this provided a resting place for the ka to return to. Did this statue speak? Julian Jaynes claims that the ka was the hallucinated voice of a person who had recently died.

Ka is the life force or spiritual double of the person. The royal Ka symbolized a pharaoh's right to rule, a universal force that passed from one pharaoh to the next.

So the ka is a universal force that passes from one pharaoh to the next. Is this the broadcasting privilege? For Meyl, the great broadcasters are the Phoenicians. There is some speculation that the Phoenicians actually ruled Egypt.

1679098188195.png

I can't remember where I found that, sorry.

From the Wikipedia entry on the goddess Hathor:

Hathor was connected with trade and foreign lands, possibly because her role as a sky goddess linked her with stars and hence navigation, and because she was believed to protect ships on the Nile and in the seas beyond Egypt as she protected the barque of Ra in the sky. [...] Egypt maintained trade relations with the coastal cities of Syria and Canaan, particularly Byblos, placing Egyptian religion in contact with the religions of that region. At some point, perhaps as early as the Old Kingdom, the Egyptians began to refer to the patron goddess of Byblos, Baalat Gebal, as a local form of Hathor. So strong was Hathor's link to Byblos that texts from Dendera say she resided there.

Dendera is the temple with those weird light bulb bas-reliefs as well as a bunch of other paintings and sculptures that could possibly represent electricity. If I remember correctly, Andrey Sklyarov points out that these “tech” sculptures and paintings are all found in a secret area of the temple to which only initiated priests would have had access. And now we read that Hathor actually lived in Phoenicia!

From the entry on animal sacrifice:

At Gath, archeological evidence indicates that the Canaanites imported sacrificial sheep and goats from Egypt rather than selecting from their own livestock.

Suggesting that Egypt was the colony, and Canaan was the colonizing power.

From the Wikipedia entry on the goddess Baalat Gebal:

Due to contacts between Byblos and Egypt, Baalat Gebal came to be identified with Hathor. Egyptians referred to the latter goddess as the “Lady of Byblos” (nbt kpn), a reflection of Baalat Gebal’s name. She could also be referred to as “Lady of Dendera who dwells in Byblos”. The oldest attestation of the connection between the two goddesses occurs in the Coffin Texts. In the relevant passage, Hathor is addressed as the “Lady of Byblos” while she is invoked as a protector of the passengers of the solar barque. This association finds parallels in instances of linking the same Egyptian goddess to various other distant areas, including Sinai, Punt, Wadi el-Hudi and Gebel el-Asr. It is possible that this phenomenon had an ideological dimension, as interpreting foreign goddesses as Hathor made it possible to present payments made to local temples in areas such as Byblos and Punt, possibly made to acquire local goods, as a display of piety towards an Egyptian deity.

So we have circumstantial evidence that in addition to running Egypt, the Phoenicians, whoever they were, were in the New World setting up temples and instructing the natives – or the slaves they brought over – how to operate them.

Is it possible that the whole goddess thing was just a front for shipping and making that sweet cash money?

Let me be clear, I am no expert on Ancient Egypt and I invite real Egyptologists to crush my hypothesis into dust. I am just chasing down a hunch, scanning the official story for elements that stick out.

ADDED: Psychoanalysis sees the voice as a mysterious "field" that is simultaneously inside and outside the subject. The following two excerpts from Darian Leader's Psychoanalysis and the Voice are of interest here:

1679100816396.png

And even more fascinating:
1679100859095.png
Basically, the question is: where do the psychic and material versions of this phenomenon intersect? The weakest point in Jaynes' theory that everyone was hallucinating until the Bronze Age Collapse is the necessity that all these independently hallucinating people mysteriously hear the same thing. He cannot explain this. I have worked in psychiatric hospitals and the nature of the psychotic delusion is that it is always singular. Psychotics do not hallucinate together! However, if we accept that the Egyptians were somehow being remote-controlled like Isakower's shrimp, his theory works. The question then becomes: what is the nature of the relationship between the "Phoenicians" and the voice they manipulate?

Interesting posts. Appreciate you resurrecting electrets. I'm sure you're already aware that rotating electrets are used in Ultra-Low Frequency (ULF) radio transmitters (and perhaps in ULF radio receivers).

Papers on rotating electrets may throw more light on this technology. Also, hints may lie in the modern technologies flagged by iseidon in the Perhaps yachts and warships use ancient technology? thread.

I've only skimmed a couple of papers on this (search for 'rotating' + 'electret' or 'ULF' + 'electret' to see the range of publicly available papers.) It's not clear to me yet whether rotating electrets create ULF radio waves (ie, act as an oscillator stage), amplify existing ULF radio waves (created by a separate oscillator stage), direct existing ULF radio waves, or simply propagate existing ULF radio waves.

Similarly, how might rotating electrets fit with claims that: 'rose window = magnetron'. I think of magnetrons as an ultra short wave technology; a UHF technology rather than a ULF technology. But perhaps modern minds have been guided into a relatively narrow understanding of radio and radio propagation. For example, it seems the term 'radio waves' doesn't fully describe the electric field + magnetic field relationship created by modern transmitters, let alone the output of electret-based transmitters. So part of the challenge of studying this is to re-conceptualise one's understanding of 'electricity' and 'radio waves' in the seemingly inverted context of how electrets work and how 'radio waves' really work.

Of course, the people who once taught these concepts - and perhaps still know how to teach them - may be those still-extant owner/managers of old rotating broadcast elements mounted on tall towers: The Master, Wardens and Assistants of the Guild Fraternity or Brotherhood of the most glorious and undivided Trinity and of St Clement in the Parish of Deptford Strond in the County of Kent.

You can also wonder if the Holy Trinity was related to the three major elements of the very punny Poynting vector.

If Trinity House knew or knows about the implementation of electret technology for long distance communication and navigation, then who knew about electret manufacture?

Perhaps the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker.

In Away In a Manger - Part Three, I tried to uncover a possible role for rock tombs as food preparation plants. I focused on blood sausage. However, it's just as reasonable to wonder if some rock tombs were moulds for casting electrets. For turning batter into batteries. Though I'm not sure the fat they used was the same fat we use.

Perhaps rock tombs with head notches were also used for 'polarising' the electret's initial charge. But speculation about polarising electrets goes far beyond my understanding of electret technology. It's just a hunch about lunch.

There are a whole lot of gaps in Away In a Manger - Part Three's conjectures about rock tombs. As Feynman would say: there's a lot of holes I can't fill. One of them is how cast electrets would be removed from the mould. Another is: were the rock tomb-cast electrets then mounted on rotating wheels? Another is: were rock tombs the moulds for what became some standing stones?

The identities of their technicians seems clearer. It probably goes without saying that Moura/Maggie - or Mary and Margaret as she seems to be branded today - was queen of the electret vats:

And queen of the various microbes that cleaned the vats and fermented new feedstock:

Possibly, humans' apparently innate enjoyment of subservience - their acceptance of table-sweepings amid plenty - stems from their earlier careers licking out Maggie's vats.

Which brings us to humans' love of cakes:

Especially their rituals involving metal foil-covered cake (barfee and similiar) and cake served on foil-covered cake-boards. And candles on cakes. I think I've understood - in a vague way - the role of cake foil in an electret-handling world. I've haven't understood where candles fit in. Perhaps it's to do with induction charging.

And there's much more. Starting with sightings of Devil's Hoofprints, etc.

Electrets truly raise the potential for the study of cargo cults. A carbo cult among cargo cults.
